How to convert PH Driver's License to AU Driver's License?

@yosh10 salamat sa reply sir. Kuha lng ng learners licence? Meaning wla nman required hours or days as learners? For example kumuha ako learners pwede na agad mag practical test ulet?

@alfonso31 bago ka makapag practical test, kailangan mo muna kumuha ng learner's license sir. Kung magfail ka sa 1st try mo sa practical, pwede ka ulit magpabook. walang required hours basta ready ka na.

@alfonso31 base on my understanding sa rule nila here in QLD, you have 3 months to use the overseas drivers license. If you fail the first exam, you can take the next day. If second, 8th day after the 2nd and if failed, 29th day after the 3rd fail.

So as long as within the 3 months rule ka pa, you can still use it. If not, you need an AU learner's. Driving schools offer an international licence changeover. I am not sure if that's inclusive of pre-test driving exams. You can call them and ask. Wala naman cguro fee ang inquiry.

that's correct you can use your PH DL for 3 months thou iba-iba ang condition ng kada state for converting license. Here's for NSW:

@yosh10 PH licence gamit ko ngaun. Concern ko kpag nag fail ako sa practical hirap pla kc kpag right hand tapos daming round about hehe.

@alfonso31 i think mas ok pa din mag lesson ka kahit 2-3x para lang malaman mo un mga tips like, quick look, STOP sign, give way sign, etc. Advantage din is makakasanayan mo un dinadaanan ng practical test kasi normally alam ng instructors sa area kung san ka papadaanin. BTW, san state ka ba magmigrate?

@alfonso31 did you take the written exam online or sa TMR office? I think the online reviewer is better than the booklet. Me and my husband had arguments because of the give way signs din especially sa roundabout, yung give way to your right and what lane will you be going if it's a multi-lane roundabout.

You can take the practical more than 3 times as long as within the 3 months rule. Are you brisbane based? When will your 3 months expire? I think you need to book for your practical as early as possible because I wanted to book for my husband this June in Greenslopes but the available date is July so we moved to Carseldine. Wynnum sana but it's far.

@juliatheambitiousoul thanks sa mga inputs. Oo tapos na ko sa written ko then nag pa sked na ko for practical. Sa queensland ako sa toowoomba kaso lipat ako ng brisbane kya di ko alam if makapag take ako ng road test sa sched ko.

Hello Im currently living in Singapore for 13years and I’ll be moving in sunshine coast this April 2020 under 489 visa.

Yung license ko po, never ko na parenew since i moved in Singapore. If i will renew it in manila will AU allow me to use may PH license if 2019 lang po sya narenew ulit?

May idea din po ba kyo ng cost if dyan na ko magaaral mag drive at kukuha ng license? And easier po ba magprocess dyan or super strict po? Thank you

You are allowed to use your PH license for 3 months lang. Then you have to convert it to AU license. Convert means dadaan ka padin sa process, like Drivers knowledge test (online exam) then driving on the road exam.

Super strict? Medyo, road rules, traffic signs and markings mahigpit na sinusunod kaya kung sanay ka sa pinoy style driving medyo mag aadjust ka talaga pero for sure maipapasa naman. Need lang ng practice at ma familiar sa road rules, plus right hand drive dito so medyo nakakapanigabo sa simula.

Sa singapore po kc minimum ay $1,8k which is almost AUD 1.8k din.

Dito bale need mo muna mag Drivers knowledge test which is $50 + ata hindi ko na ma recall, then if ma pasa mo, kukuha ka ng Learners License nasa $25 ata. Then need mo pa ata mag log ng hours na nag practice driving ka dito di ko lang sure kung ilang hrs need mo. Usually $50-60/hr dito sa Sydney mga driving instructor. Medyo magastos to baka lumampas ka din ng $1.8k depende kung ilang hrs yung need mo.

Tapos ang driving exam is around $50.

If I were you since may license ka naman sa PH. iRenew mo nalang para pag dating mo dito eh from L license pde ka na mag full license nde ka na dadaan ng 2 P license since lalabas na matagal ka na nag dridrive.

Ang rule ata ay different per state.

Sa Victoria, if you want to convert your PH License to FULL Victorian License, ito yung steps na ginawa ko:

Hindi naman aabot sa 1.8k AUD ang ginastos ko. Napamahal lang sa practice kasi ang 1.5 hr of drive test with a professional driving instructor ay around 70 aud. Itinuro sakin pano maging safe driver and mapasa ang driving exam.

Siguro sum total of everything would be around, 500 AUD or less kasama na from verification fee to drive test.

@Honeylu from my friends exp kumuha sila DKT then Learners Licence. Nagdriving instructor sila for total of 5hrs (not required ang 120hrs minimum if older than 25yrs sa NSW not sure sa ibang state)
