@jedh_g hi po.. NSW ranks the invitation based on the following:
Occupation
Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) points score
English language ability
Skilled employment
You could research whether there are many applicants under your occupation code, if yes, then you could expect to get your invitation after those 60+5 pointers and above are cleared first. If there are only very few applicants, then you'll get an invite anytime soon.
You could use this myimmitracker.com to study the trend of invitations for your occupation.
The last time NSW sent out their invites was Dec 17 and afterwards, they went on vacation. Their office resumed last Monday and since it doesn't seem that no one got an invite for this week, then hopefully they would start sending their invites and approvals again next week. Last year, the trend in sending invitations and approvals was every Thursday or Friday. Not sure if the same trend would apply for this year.
