Not in the stage of getting citizenship yet, still waiting for PR, pero I think it would be best na consistent yung IDs mo and it should include everything. Yung change name as far as i know would need to be backed up by a good reason but best to check if this should be done in AU or PH and what the law requires.

In my case, most of my legal documents ko wala din middle name (mother's maiden surname). However, in the citizenship interview (before citizenship test) they asked why some of my documents did not have my middle name. The officer told me that they will be using my full name as seen in my ph passport as this was my name on their record.

Hi @Abby_ we got our citizenship appointment sent last week 21 Jan, lodged 05 July. Ang schedule ko is 17 Mar 2022. My application is also still in "Received" status but got the email last week. Try to check your immi. 🙂 Thanks.

Hello po sa lahat... maki-ask na nga din ako dito as I have not seen any posts pa regarding my concern. But my apologies ahead if natanong na at na-overlooked ko lng.

I am debating kasi of whether or not to apply for an extension of my passport which is about to expire next month. Ka-lodged ko lang ng citizenship application 2 weeks ago and I ticked (in one of its questions) that I have no intention to travel outside within 12 months from lodging. But I realized lately na baka mag-travel nga ako and that, baka mahihirapan ako kung wala pa akong approval for citizenship + AU passport.

So my question is, may negative effects ba ang pag-apply ng extension ng passport while waiting sa citizenship application? Will this act be interpreted as "I am in doubt" pa of becoming an AU citizen? Should I update the immigration by attaching the extension approval to my immi-account? I reckon I can still do so since wala pa case officer na-assign (but pls correct me if mali ang info ko dito.)

Hi mga Pips!

I just passed my citizenship exam yesterday...I have a dilemma, my PR visa has expired and I'm planning to travel to the PHL this June 2022 (in 3months). I am not sure if I should start processing my Resident Return Visa or wait for my Citizenship Ceremony and then apply for a AUS Passport (urgent application is within 2-3 days).

Just want to check with those that have taken their citizenship pledge recently if how long was their turnaround time from passing the citizenship exam to pledge (ceremony)?

If I can get the citizenship pledge before June 2022, I find it a very costly exercise if renew my PR visa (RRV) too soon which is around $410, and then having to apply for an AUS passport soon which is around $308.

Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, during my citizenship interview recently, the interviewer asked if I had any plans to travel in the near future, so sabi ko na meron sa June 2022, then kinuha niya ang travel dates at may tinype siya sa computer na hindi ko alam. Pero after passing the citizenship exam, puede daw mag update sa citizenship application at maglagay ng travel dates, while application is being processed. I am not sure lang kung asan dun sa my immi application ilalagay yun. Makikibalita nalang ako sa iyo kung saan yun 🙂

Hi, Im about to lodge application for citizenship. medyo na-overwhelm ako sa dami ng requirements.

Ive read one of the docs needed is medical evidence of an enduring physical or mental incapacity from a specialist medical practitioner registered in Australia. May I know san kayo kumuha neto? And is this required for the kids na kasama sa application or just the adults? Im from Melbourne.
