Wala pa rin update yung sa akin. I applied around early November. More than a month na since I lodged my app and holiday season is coming so I’m expecting this one to be a waiting game.

@multitasking @Yeliboy 90% nga raw ng application napaprocess in 14 mos... at least nakapaglodge na tayo at di na affected ng mga susunod na changes. Waiting game na lang uli.

Don sa identity declaration ng Aussie Citizen, kailangan ba within your community or anywhere in Australia na kilala ka? Kakalipat kasi namin ng ibang state at dapat employed in one of the occupations na nasa list :-)

@fgs I think it can be anywhere as long as kilala kayo kasi they randomly call and ask the person to describe the applicant. And yes dapat nasa list yung occupation. 🙂

And if ever po ba, while nakaprocess ang citizenship pwede pong lumabas ng australia? Like magbakasyon for 1 to 2 wks?

@dai_yari Hi, it’s $285 per person, yung bata na kasama sa application ng parent under 16 is free. Pwede kang magbakasyon, may question sa form about traveling outside Au ilagay mo na lang run yung travel plans mo or you can update them thru your immi account..

@dai_yari Yes, $285 for the citizenship application. Migrant o PR din ba brother and parents mo? If not, then hindi sila pwedeng magapply for citizenship.

Citizenship is an indivual application except for underage children. You could have included your parents as dependents when you applied for your migrant visa. There is a parent visa you can apply but the wait is very long( i think 30years wait). The easiest would be a 3 or 5 years tourist visa but also expensive.

@dai_yari Pwede mo silang iapply for PR, yun nga lang mamimili ka kung gagastos ka ng malaki or magaantay ka ng matagal. Meron yung permanent visa subclass 103 around $6k kaso ang waiting time is 30yrs, meron ding subclass 143 which is a permanent visa nasa $19k or yung temporary visa na 173 which is around $31k. Maraming choices actually, ilan lang yan sa mga options. Pwede rin naman silang magtourist visa na muna.

Individual application, meaning if a couple applied and granted PR visa, the other one is as dependent to the main applicant, they should apply citizenship separately once eligible?

unlike visa, there's a main applicant and dependents and apply as one?

yes correct...separate application..only underage children can be included..theres an option in the application where you can choose someone whose also applying to be processed witj your application so that both of you will attend the ceremony in one place/same rime

hubby arrived mar 2014/

di na sya qualified to apply for citizenship even before jul2018 kc new rule na? tama po ba...

Based on the dates, he is qualified to apply in April-before July 2018(unless di sya absent for 12 mos or more in Au). The new rules was not approved sa senate kaya di naimplement which could have been effective April 2017. Nasa website ngayon na iimplement July 2018 but take note that it is still subject to legislation.
