btw, i called up ofx.com. can't move the funds from sg to aus, if "im still residing in singapore". pero once i've moved to australia, then i can facilitate to pull of funds from singapore to aus.

Hi Guys, nag open na ang DBS moneysend sa Australia @ zero (0) service charge, Been using this to transfer money from SG to Pinas. I'll let you know pag nacredit na ung sa OZ ko.

this is true.. DBS had just introduced DBS remit to OZ..with free of charge and with a good rate..

For new migrants try opening NAB account online. Then from DBS to NAB nalang ang transfer, good naman ang rate and no transfer fees.

@icel527 yes online. In my experience, tumawag ang taga-Westpac while outside Oz pa ako for few verifications, that time, ibinigay ko Oz address ng kakilala ko for card delivery doon. Sa NAB, di tumawag sa akin, pero email communication namin

guys, natransfer nyo na ba lahat ng savings nyo from SG papunta OZ? di ba kayo nanghihinayang sa lugi sa exchange rate? natanong ko lang kasi,di ko sure if tttransfer ko na lahat or iwan muna dito sg, kakapanghinayan kasi ang mababawas pag naconvert into AUD, lalo na last time nag 1:1 AUD:SGD

pag may aussie bank account ka na. madali na lang maglipat. it takes 1 business day to make a wire transfer via ibanking. madali din magpalit ng debit cards/IB secure device (i've done both. ini-mail nila sa home address ko sa australia. though it took like 2 weeks)

kaya i didn't transfer all my savings sa dbs/posb, i just brought over what i needed (seed savings). lo and behold, ang laki ng ibinaba ng aud/sgd conversion. if i transferred everything laki ng nawala sa conversion.

@engr_boy oo nga bro, laki ng mawawala pag ittransfer lahat. for example, 10K AUD lang ang ittransfer mo, mawawala na sayo more or less 500 SGD.

pano pa kaya pag malaking amount na talaga. Pano diskarte mo dito bro? hahayaan mo lang muna dito sa SG?

@pinoycoder depende din yan sa needs mo bro. ako single, just needed a room to stay in. syempre, iba ang cash needs ko sa may pamilya. personally ako, naka-park lang sa sg savings ko. ewan ko, mas gusto ko yung may IB secure device. added layer ng security. sa Aus kasi parang pinas din. login + password + sms lang. though nun naging mas mataas ng konti ang sgd sa aud. naglipat ako ng konti.

@engr_boy nice pare, gayahin ko nalang din diskarte mo, park ko muna savings ko dito sg, and lipat ng konting pang gastos.

once i got my account number thru online application, pwede na ba mag deposit ng pera kahit wla pa ID check?

Confirm ko lang yung ID check is when you arrive na sa Oz dbah?
