Hello from the other side... 😛

I had my skills assessed last May2014.

With regard to my years of working experience, ACS ONLY recognized from Feb2008- July 2011 then 2nd job is Oct 2011 - May 2014.= which 6 years/10pts .
My total years of exp is from Feb 2004 - July 2011 -> 3 months break -> Oct 2011 - Present

CONCERN:

1.)There is a 3month time-off as I relocated from Philippines to Singapore.

2.)The certified assessment if expiring on Aug 2016.

3.)ACS only granted 6 years/10 pts (May 2014)

*excluding my ongoing employment which would yield 2 more years (giving me 15points)

QUESTION: If I lodge my EO1 this coming Feb 2016;

1.) will they count my work experience as 8 YEARS even though there is a 3month break on year 2011 and on the certified assessment is only up until May 2014?

2.) Can I claim work experience as 15pts? (Feb 2008-Feb2016-at present): regardless of what is stated in the outdated assessment (expiring this Aug2016).

you can create and submit an EOI if you have at least 55 points now. in claiming points for work experience you will need to put the 2 employment as below:

from feb 2008 to jul 2011
from oct 2011 - present (leave it blank)

your eoi points will be automatically computed but based on this, you only have around 7 yrs and 8 months of experience. but come june 2016 your EOI points will be automatically adjusted adding another 5 pointa for your work experience. same thing happens for points based on age.
