Applying for a Job in Australia While Located in other Country

Hi everyone!

thanks that i found this website.

I am August, currently working here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Im just waiting to finish my Job Contract here which will end this coming September this year.

After here, I wish to work in Australia as an AutoCAD Technician/Draftsman.

I can see there are lots of Job Hiring for this position, but my question is:

<b>What is the process of Appyling for a Job in Australia?</b>

because for other countries when applying for a job,

for example here in Saudi Arabia, we only need to go to a Legal Agency,

provide all our documents, (CV, ID Copies like NBI Clearance, Passport copy, Diploma,

Certificates, etc) working visa will be provided by the Arabian Company which are hiring the workers.

What about applying for a job in Australia?

Please help me.

General Process:

Check nio muna if you can meet the minimum 60pts pra d masayang ang pag process ng docs. u need this points to apply for expression of interest. u cn do any combination to reach this number (age, qualifications-education, experience, english test.etc)- check this website for explanations/sample--http://www.migrationmatters.com/australiapoints.php

for u to know if ung skill mo is for visa 189/190 u cn check here --type mo lng sa keyword draftsman/autocad--https://www.anzscosearch.com/search/

if walng skill na exactly 'draftsman' may lalabas na related profession example architect..etc. u need to check each profession kung san mag f fall in ang experience mo. then it will tell u f such profession is eligible for visa 189 ( permanent residency- u cn choose any state to reside/work) or visa 190 (permanent residency- obligatory 2yrs to live and work in state that nominates u--may need show money for some state).

so mainly d process after determining ur chosen profession and estimated points;

Have your qualifications and skill assessed - if its up to Au standards. a positive assessemnt is a ticket to file an expression of interest (isa sa mga requirements).
Take IELTS/PTE or other english accredited exam in the assessing body if required to take bfore skill assessment.
Apply for expression of interest-https://www.border.gov.au/Busi/Empl/skillselect
Once invited - lodge and pay visa and complete all requirements
wait for approval ng visa

depending on the type of visa and the profession u are applying, nag v varry ang process. depende din sa circumstance ng applicant nag v varry ang process and timeline (example if may dependent or defacto partner, children, may previous visas).

if u wana save up agency fee's (like most of us here) do it yourself nlang. it is easy but it needs a lot of research and tyaga sa pag tatanong dito sa forum and pag ch chek ng relative websites and process. but it is manageable.

@augustan the above mentioned by @jkk32w is related to PR visa 189. There are other type of visa like employer sponsored etc. you can check from this site other type of visa. http://www.border.gov.au/

mga sir, tinry ko po ung Skill assessment, dun po ako pumasa sa 190 at sa 489 type of visa

@augustan I am not familiar with 489 is it employer sponsored? Then you need to look for a willing employer to sponsor you. On the other hand,190, you need undergo all those mentioned above by @jkk32w

@augustan jst make sure lang na d experience u are claiming will be the same number of years na ma accredit ng assessing body. minsan kc nag d deduct sila ng years or months if they find such employment is not related. so ur supporting docs shud strongly convince them that each experience or employment is related sa profession.

@augustan start collating your documents as proof of those points claimed. It will consume a lot of your time, and of course the dreaded English language test.
