@filsgoz is it really necessary na bumili ng sasakyan agad sa Tassie? super hindi ba convenient ng public transporation nila? alam ko mostly bus lang tlga yung public transpo at walang trains.

I wouldn't exactly know kasi me and my partner didn't take public transport when we lived there. We used my uncle's car the first week after we arrived and we got our car the week after. But from observation and the stories of my cousins who were born and raised in tassie, waiting time is horrible - an hour or hour and a half on the weekends and public holidays and about 30mins wait. That's in Launceston (2nd largest city in tassie, up north) and they live very close to the CBD. Sa Hobart within the CBD and closest neighbouring suburbs, around 30mins wait din sa weekdays. Public holiday and weekends are the pain. So make sure that's factored in if deciding to live in tassie 🙂

@filsgoz thanks sa info. I think ganyan ata yung waiting time ng public transpo sa buong australia. may I know if ano yung range ng car sa Tassie? para may idea kami if ever

Hi @Hunter_08 malamang tama ka sa mga buses. Trains would have different timing. Car prices? It can be as cheap as you want (high km's, older car models, no rego, with some cosmetic defects) $4k plus. If you can buy newer or brand new, better. Gagamitin mo naman din kasi in the long haul.

@filsgoz yup tama ka pero kasi for starter syempre kailangan muna magtipid...pag nakahanap na siguro ng work taska na lang bumili ng brand new na sasakyan... kung kakayanin na wala munang sasakyan for the meantime.

@Hunter_08 tama and dapat handa din when you make the big move. anyone who's thinking of moving to tassie, it would be wise to look for accommodation around CBD or houses in very close neighboring suburbs para di masyado hassle if taking public transport. 🙂

@Hunter_08 and to add to it, kung galing ka din sa Singapore, you won't be too shocked dahil sa biglaang shift from city to a country living. as in, kahit weekdays pagsapit ng 5pm tahimik na kahit sa CBD (Launceston or Hobart). 😃

May bago kasi akong nabasang memorandum that circulates over social media mn kailangang mag-english test ulit ung gustong mag-apply ng aus citizenship. I thouhgt it follows in all application visa subclass. Buti naman hindi.

hello, i have just completed the condition for 489 last week and ready to lodge my application for 887. ang inaantay ko nalang po is yung proof of residency na ni request ko sa property agent which she said she will send to me this coming thurs. can i proceed to lodge or better wait for few days para complete na docs at ma upload na din as soon as i lodge? may binibigay po bang time limit to upload the supporting docs? thanks in advance sa magrereply.

hi @ljdelu you can lodge now then enrol yourself in medicare. you can have the tenancy agreement and rent payment receipt as proof of residency. all the best!
