Napansin ko ren po na 489 visa kayo..me pagkakaiba po ba yan aside from it not being a permanent visa (for 4 yrs at least)? Thank u po?

@greysworld123. For state sponsorship it depends on the criteria, they have special conditions applicable for some occupations. If your nominated occupation is part of the SA occupations list and no special conditions mentioned then you might get an invite. Pls check their website as there might be updates.

Yes visa 489 ako as my nominated occupation is found only on the supplementary list and the conditions mentioned is I could only apply for 489. I think ang difference lang with 190 is temporary visa ang 489 with only 4 years validity but with eligibility for PR application after 2 years residency and 1 yr full time job. Since di pa PR not yet eligible sa free insurance but good thing with SA free naman ang education ng kids pag govt school kahit 489 visa holder pa lang. :-)

@RheaMARN1171933 hello po.wala naman po problema if combination ng cash and assets, meron naman po kasi ako evidence, worried lang ako if me exact amount rquired then kulang ung cash/savings ko. Thanks po 🙂

hello po asked k lng po sa state nomination sa eoi po nilagay k ung work experience k pero i tick not related to my skill nde ako mgclaim points.. dun po ba sa state nomination application tama po ba nde k cya include sa emplyment kasi nde nmn ako ngclaim ng points po? thank you

@greysworld123 hi, currently in SA, you can get an invite if you only have 60 points as long as you will meet the criteria but SA do not publish their selection process. About chance, well, everyone has a chance, in your case maybe you have an edge coz you have a family that will support you once you move to SA.

My nominated occupation 263311 Telecoms Engr was also on Supplementary Category and I had only 60 pts (55+5) and used the Chain migration coz Ihave a brother here whose already and Oz citizen. I applied for state nomination and got an invite from SA after 2 days.

So, medyo malaki chance mo ma invite dahil may relative ka dito.

Hello nag apply po ako 190 giving me 65+5pts so 70pts na po. Nasa Supplementary po ang occupation ko 239914 which is dapat atleast competent plus pte ko po. May chance po kaya ma invite kame. Nag bayad po kame 200aud sa applicqtion.

@mslakay ng reply din ako sa post mo sa kabilang thread. Did you apply also via migration.sa? Kasi as far as I could recall, mag prompt yan sila kung ilan ang minimum points required before proceeding. I remember mine nag prompt ng something like “to apply you need 80 points..”. Also I checked anzsco code 239914 parang wala sa 2 lists nila. Ano yung nominated occupation mo?

Hello wala nmn po cya prompt na points namen mababa. Ng apply kame thru SA migration. Ung skill ko po is nsa supplementary engineering technologist. @chococrinkle

Hi guys, ask lang po ako if nag-aaccept po ba si south aus. ng applicants with partner claiming points but engaged pa lang not yet married? We are planning to consider application for 489 since open sya sa occupation namin, mejo mahaba kasi yung pila ngayun kay NSW hehe.. Thank you! 🙂

@supermadi Invitation for a 489 state sponsored is based on the approval of your state sponsorship. It doesnt form part of the fortnightly selection based on points conducted by dibp. Once your state sponsorship is approved, it will automatically trigger the department to send you an invite. Did you apply for your state sponsorship? There is a current freeze of state sponsorship in Qld and Vic. Goodluck
