About sa medical exam for PR, I did the following tests: Physical, blood extraction for HIV and others, urinalysis, and x-ray.

For kids

(0-1years) Medical history (bring immunization records) and physical exam

(2-10years) required sila ng TB skin test plus medical history and physical exam, IGRA ( I think blood test ito)

(11-14) Medical History, physical exam, urinalysis, x-ray

(15+) same as adults (see above)

Price per person is Php7,750, less for kids.

Did my exam in SLEC - St. Lukes BGC.

Pero ito po ia for PR applications, tama po ba? Ano po kaya ang visa 489, considered permanent po kaya or temporary? Salamat po sa makakapag-clarify.

@supermadi for temporary residency, walang TB and IGRA for kids, all else same exams lang.

Hindi naman masakit ang skin test, parang kagat rin lang ng langgam. Doctors will draw a circle sa ininject nila na liquid then will check after a few days kung mas malaki na sa drawing ang pantal or not. If lumaki then TB positive yun.

@heero_yuy51 @supermadi visa 489 medical exam is the same with 189 and 190 visas, thus there is TB test. For TB test for kids, based on what Ive previously researched and the option we took, its best to have IGRA blood test than the skin test, for the reasons that IGRA will only require 1 clinic visit and the test is more accurate than skin test. For skin test kasi babalik pa sa clinic after a certain number of hrs and there are a lot of cases with false positive results, and there will be more tests and lengthy waiting after that. If you will go with IGRA pls coordinate with the clinic first as they have schedules, its not daily in Nationwide, but I think regular sched at St.Luke’s.

@chococrinkle Thank you po sa clarification Mam. Dito na po kame magpapa-medical sa Singapore, siguro itawag ko nalang po muna sa clinic. Yun na nga lang po IGRA piliin naman, sana po pwede mamili talaga. Kawawa naman kasi bata kung pabalik balik pa. 🙁 Naghihintay pa po kame advise sa agent kung magpa-medical na kame e. Salamat po ulit.

Hello po. Sa mga nagpamedical na po dito sa Singapore, next Wednesday pa po yung nakuha namen slot sa Point Medical sa Paragon.. Yun kasi ang pinaka early rin para sa TB test ng daughter namen, apparently di pala everyday meron ganon testing. Ang worry po namen is 2weeks pa daw labas result nung test nya after kunan ng dugo, hindi po kaya malate kame masyado ng pasa ng medical? Ok lang po kaya yun? Roughly labas result nya mga 2nd week of September. Yung visa po namen nilodge kahapon 20th August. Salamat po sa sasagot. Thank you.

@supermadi, Ok lang yan. Matagal pa bago ma review ng application nyo so walang problem kahit mid september pa yan. Marami din nag uupdate ng application nila even after a month nila mag lodge. Goodluck.

Sir kaka-grant lang po pala ng visa nyo, congratulations. Kelan po kayo nag lodge? Para may idea lang po kame roughly how long ang trend ngayon bago ma-grant. 🙂
