Hi guys, I am really considering 489 in SA. I just have a few questions regarding this visa and would be grateful for your answers:

I've read here from @MissOZdreamer na no need ang proof of financial capacity. Is this always true especially if may dependent ka?
Wala talaga kaming kakilala sa SA to even start with. All our relatives are in Vic. Is it okay na mag-entry lang sa SA, then settle in Vic for the meantime until makahanap ng work sa SA then tska mag-settle dun?
Is it okay na mag-entry lang sa Australia, then bumalik muna dito sa Pinas? Yung 2 years commitment ba, is it anytime within those 4 years?
We know that 887 is the next step for 489, pag po ba nagrant yung visa 887, are we still obliged to stay in SA before moving to other state?

No need for proof so far wala pa kami narinig na humingi ang SA ng proof.
Pwede naman kaya lang mas advantage siguro kung andun kayo sa SA while looking for job. Pero pwede kau mag initial entry anywhere sa Oz.

Below are my answers:

Self declaration ang financial capacity. So far wala pa akong kakilala na hiningan ng proof BUT they (SA) can always ask if they want to.
Agree with @Strader , the chances of you getting a job is much higher if you are physically living in SA as you need to attend job interviews, etc. What do you mean settle in sa VIC until mkahanap ng work? You mean, ung other family members or kids mo magsettle sa VIC while you and your partner are looking for a job in SA? If thats what you meant, I think you can do that.
may visa condition ang 489 that you have to live in the state for at least 2 yrs AND during that 2 yrs you have to participate in surveys from SA state. Once you arrive in SA you have to notify SA state immigration and give them your address, details, etc. I suggest confirm with SA state immigration about your plans. 489 is a temporary visa, and valid for 4 yrs, you need to make sure that once your 489 has expired and you are not a PR yet, you can satisfy the requirements to get an RRV. Another thing, why prolong the agony, the earlier you finish your 2 yr visa condition, the better 'coz you will get flexibility once you are a PR.
887 is a permanent visa. You will only be granted 887 once you have satisfied your visa conditions and if you are a PR you can go anywhere you want in OZ.

Citizenship rules have changed April 2017, to be eligible to apply for citizenship, you have to be a permanent resident for at least 4 years.

Unfortunately, your 489 visa or any other non permanent visa will not count to the 4 yr requirement.

Thanks @Au_Vic . If we push SA, my partner and I will stay in Melbourne first kasi dun kami may matutuluyan. Or, maybe siguro balik muna ako dito satin, keep my job then try searching a job online. From what I've heard, mejo mahirap maghanap ng work sa Adelaide. Then if may job na, saka pa kami mag-sesettle dun to manage our finances.

hello sainyo! May nagprocess po ba ng arch.draftsperson sa SA dito for fiscal year 2017? Please advice kung necessary po ba ang 80 points to apply for eoi? Sa ngayon kc 75 points lang ako. Negative po ba yun kung ganun?

Hello po mga kabayan, pasensya na sa tanong ko newbie lang po. Facilities po un field ko at kay vetassess magpapaassess. 5yrs na din po ang exp ko same company pero un nakalagay sa pass ko is Project Engineer. magkakaproblema po ba kaya kay vetassess yun? saka po un reqd ni vet na TOR okay lang po ba na may nakalagay sa remark na "for board exam"?

@jam14, sa job title wala namang prob. dapat parehas ng job description ung sa anzco code tsaka ung nasa COE mo. at least 4 job des ang ilagay ang magkatugma.
