Hi! I'm starting a new thread to help new student visa applicants.. (im still waiting for my visa's decision.. so help me God )

1) Decide on your course. Think. (it should be related to your course and future career)

according to @adelaideboi.. ang mga courses na pwede kang maemployed sa AU ay nursing, IT and aged care; pero syempre hindi lang yan madami pa ibang courses offered sa AU, so think.

2) Scout/search for possible schools and where to take it i.e: Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth etc.. Search yung buhay sa napili nyung pupuntahan weather, accomodation, living expenses etc.

3) Contact CRICOS provider school for their specific requirements yung iba asa website na.. (main concern in this stage: IELTS exam - some schools require OBS7.0 and no grades below 7.0 especially pag bachelor's and master's degree and kukunin mo. score of 6.5 - for VET courses, certificates/diploma & isa pang concern ay yung Tuition fees, university costs A$10,000-A$15,000/sem for masteral and bachelors depende sa school.. ELICOS (english courses A$2000-A$5500).. VET courses- A$2000-A$7000 per sem)

4) Make a checklist of the requirements.

5) Schedule for IELTS exam. Review. Pray. Take the exams. Pray for your desired result. Wait for 13-14 days for the result.

6) While waiting for exam results, gather other requirements like TOR, Diploma (HS-College), download student visa forms, read http://www.immi.gov.au/students/students/chooser/subclass-options.htm and DL forms here http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/application-forms/forms_alpha.htm#s

7) IELTS exam results successful. 🙂>-

8) Pwede na magapply sa school. Check kung na comply lahat ng requirements ng school.

9) Wait for Offer Letter. Pag meron na, check kung okay na kayo dun, T.fees, length of classes, etc. if okay inform the school. Sign written agreement. Pay T.fees (I think yung iba 1 sem. lang yung required bayaran, and yung iba may choice kung sakanila ka kukuha ng student's medical insurance)

10) Complete all requirements for student visa

read/search for checklist here http://www.immi.gov.au/students/checklists/ - depende yan sa course nyo: Subclass 570:ELICOS (assessment level 3); 572: VET (assess level 3); 573: Higher Education (assess. level 2 ata)

11) Bank certificates/ statements/ statutory declaration ng mag sponsor sa inyo,, (yung pera sa bank dapat 3 months ata before ka magapply andun); check for specific na amount na kailangan, it varies lalo na pag may dependents kau. for sinle ata at least A$18000/year plus Tuition fees ang laman sa bank so, pag 2 years ang course dapat at least A$36000 plus T.fees ata ang nasa banko ng sponsor nyu, hindi ata pwede ang time deposit, check nyu na lang din

12) After macomplete lahat ng requirements, pwede na kayo mag lodge.

13) Wait after 7-14days for the acknowledgement of the embassy, (usually they will email you, rarely ata thru SMS - i dont know basta email add is very important)

14) when you received the letter from the embassy, they will instruct you to do your medical exams

15) Medical exams. Wait and follow up after 3-5 days kung na upload na sa ehealth system yung files nyo.

16) If naupload na yung file, all we have to wait for our CO's decision, hit refresh (F5) once in a while sa email nyu hehe. No, just pray, pray and pray.

17) it really depends kung ilang days after maupload,, yung iba dito sa forum after 5 working days; 11 wdays; 17 w.days; 23 w.days. so depende talaga sa CO and sa application mo.

18) Visa granted. :-j (*)

19) Buy your plane ticket. Enjoy and live a better study life in AU. Don't forget to thank God for your success.

pag may kulang and gusto kayo idagdag feel free.. 🙂 one more thing check if your NBI clearance kasi nayong matagal na kumuha so allot 2 weeks para sa waiting time ng NBI pag may kapangalan ka at naghit and 1 day para pumila sa haba ng tao kumukuha ng clearance.,

also, if the school need for specific immunizations, complete nyu na din, 🙂

yes, hindi pwede ang TIME DEPOSIT for funds para ipakita or isama s mga requirements kung mglodge n ng student visa.

panu mo nalaman na na rcv na nila by 25 yung medical mo? paraho tayu ng subclass

nag forward ka na ba ng NSO mo? d ako makapag request kasi wala pa mail embassy sakin and i need reference number from them to proceed. lahat ba ng subclass 572 e 2-3 months lahat? meron pag naka rcv ng earlier than that?

Reply to @juvy: they required me additional docs. kaya natagalan, tsaka di kasi kasali yung school ko sa streamlined visa processing kaya assessment level 3 pa din ako in that case mas mabusisi sila,,

yung medical mo follow up mo sa nationwide baguio asked them kung nasubmit na nila sa ehealth,

yes nagforward ako ng NSO (online meron) tasbayad ka sa BDO. no, the reference number sa NSO is different from the reference no. sa embassy. apply ka online sa ecensus,

yes madami na nakareceive ng visa nauna pa ko sakanila magsubmit pero yung school nila kasi kasama. sa streamlined.

Hello po ask ko lang kailangan pa po ng NBI pag student visa application? O additional na lang po iyon? One more question pa po, may kakilala na po ba kayo na na refuse ng student visa application sa oz? Thanks po.

@beaj thank you for replying. We will be lodging our application this september and nagbabasa ako they introduced the GTE, naabutan po ba kayo nito?

Gaano po ka strict ang mga case officers na naghhandle ng student visa applications regarding the GTE or sa proof of funds sila mahigpit?

My hubby po kasi is a mining engineer, since ayaw nya mag ielts, ako ginawa nyang main applicant, ok naman na po ielts ko 7.5OBS kaso po di ko ma assess kung positive or negative on our side ung job nya baka masilip ng case officer na mining engr sya tapos payag sya na dependent ko lang sa visa. Baka po meron kayong maipapayo sa amin. Thank you po.

Btw, im a Psychology grauate here sa atin and planning to take up management or marketing in sydney, masisilip din po ba ng case officer un kung hindi relevant sa education background ko and may phone interviews pa po ba sa mga case officers? Thanks again. God bless us all.

Hello, I've no idea what GTE is. So I've read about it. Apparently, everyone goes through with this. Just go through the whole process and it's the embassy's prerogative na how they will have you assessed.

I don't really know kung gano sila kastrict and all. Just submit the necessary documents and abide by the process and you're good to go. Okay lang din magshift ka ng course. Ako, Education graduate dito pero I'm taking Business in AU. Meron kasi part sa application na essay na kelangan sagutan about why you're taking the course, relevance to your field, etc.

@beaj thank you for the reply. I also have no idea sa GTE kaya nag search din ako, yes you are right we just have to follow the process and depende na lang sa case officer talaga.

hi po. Concern ko yung course ko. i took up Civil Engineering pero kasi kahit nasa construction industry ako, more on Administrative works ako. I already inquired sa Curtin U and Murdoch U and I plan to take up Graduate Diploma of Records Magmt and Archives since I felt na comfy ako dun (I am working as a Document COntroller). COnfusion arose when I had an appointment with IDP Abu Dhabi:

Sabi nila, I have to fulfill GTE and I have to prove to the immi or CO in that case na talagang mag-aaral lang ako. Of course, I want to be permanently based there after ko magstudy. How can I prove to them that I am going to study only if I will take up a Graduate Diploma Course eh Degree Holder ako? Ano ang solution, I asked? They said I take up Masters. Kasi daw kasama un sa streamlined visa and they will Assess me under Level 1.
They are also telling na if I take up Masters, I can work 40 hours a week (usually 20 hours a week lang ang part time) pero when i checked DIAC, it mentioned 40 hours each fortnight. Meaning 20 hours a week din un.
They also mentioned that If I study there for 92 weeks (or 2 years), I am allowed to stay for another 2 years (totalling to 4 na). this will give me ample time to find a sponsor and find a stable job.
One of my first options before Curtin and Murdoch was TAFE WA. I plan to take up 6 months first then a diploma course afterwards. IDP said na if I take this path, there is no guarantee that my visa will be granted. Level 3 kasi ang VET sa atin so baka mahirapan daw ako and I should eliminate that TAFE option.

Well, now sobrang confused ako. And also, I am not really sure what to do now.
