@ChefMa DIY po ako, pero ang gastos ko lang is health exam fees kasi covered ng scholarship ko yung visa fee (nagulat din ako na hindi ako pinabayad nito during visa application) and OSHC (single coverage). Yung health exam fee ko was less than NTD 3k, so almost Php 6k (current forex rate). Yung friend ko na nagpa-medical sa St. Luke's BGC mga 6k din po ang binayad (even if Working Holiday ang inapplyan nyang visa); dun sa other Panel Physician sa Manila parang ganun din ang presyo, if not slightly more expensive.
Student visa fee will cost you Php 22.5k (AUD 560), and your OSHC cost will vary based on your single, couple, or family coverage. Pag single coverage, expect to pay around AUD 1k (Php 40k) for 26 months' coverage; AUD 6k (Php 240k) for couple (2 adults); and AUD 13k (Php 520k) for family (2 adults+children).
So if single coverage ang OSHC mo, you should budget at least Php 68.5k (or round-up natin to Php 70k) for the student visa-related expenses. Increase your budget if you're going to Australia with your partner and/or children.
I'm flying to Australia 3 weeks before the start of classes (so I have enough time to settle down and look for a job), so I'm budgeting at least AUD 2k pocket money to support myself (may distant relative ako na may bahay sa Inner West Sydney so free rent for a few weeks, so no rent expense pa hehe). I'm hoping that will be enough to tide me over for a month or so hehe.
