I have the same case. Unrelated yung degree ko sa experience (and nominated occupation), but I still received a positive assessment — yun lang, I was deducted 3 years of experience, which I assume was done kasi VETASSESS considers that employment as a substitute to a formal education in that field.
Just make sure na aligned yung duties ng bawat experience na ipapa-assess ng friend mo sa nakalista sa ANZSCO nominated occupation niya. As long as your friend meets VETASSESS' eligibility criteria and maayos mga documents, it's possible to receive a positive outcome. Hope that helps 🙂
