For people who have applied online, did you have your photo certified pa or just the documents? Has anybody (online applicants) here tried to submit colored scan copies of the originals only or you had all documents certified?

@j0wnaGurl, in our case (PTA), the only document that we submitted which was NOT CTC'd is the Application Form (coloured scan). The rest, they were all CTC'd, including the photo.

Question po ulit. If ang qualification ko ba is not related to my nom occupation but I have 5 years of experience, will vetasses count it as 3 years lang?

Then I would have to consider it as 5 pts lang sa points based?

Gusto ko lang magkaron ng idea so that I'll know exactly how much points I have. So far kasi, I have sure 40 pts for age & ielts, will become 35 pts next year when I turn 33.

@j0wnaGurl, I am not aware about the skills assessment for VETASSESS. But I guess we have something in common though; been in the IT industry for more than 8 years but my college degree is non-IT (completely unrelated). Our work experience was assessed by ACS while education was assessed by VETASSESS (ACS could not provide opinion to our degree).

Hope someone could provide you a helpful answer soon. 🙂

Did ACS considered all the 8 years you have or did they counted it as 5 or 6, making the 2 years part of training?

Also, if the assessing company considered 3 out of the 5 years for example, can you still claim 5 years in dibp?

My employment in IT started Sept 2005. My ACS result letter states that:

<i>The following employment after September 2011 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately <b>SKILLED</b> level and relevant to 261312 (Developer Programmer) of the ANZSCO Code.</i>

As you can see, the first 6 years of my work experience were removed (deemed 'unskilled' level). I plan to claim points from work experience earned AFTER September 2011, which will entitle me to 5pts come September 2014 (3 years).

I just hope that no drastic change/s in Migration rules will happen on July 1. X_X

Yup that's the most important, a positive assessment. Nagworry din kasi kami na baka nagkamali kami ng nominated ANZSCO code. Ok na yung PTA namin.

@altuser41 in a few day's time we'll know what'll happen. Hopefully if may changes man, it will be to our advantage.

From what I've seen so far may additional codes lang for sol and csol and yung validity ng assessment. Have you seen that article?

Also, I received an email from Skillselect regarding the amendment in skills assessment validity (extended to 3 years). Akala ko nga nung una unfavorable news e until I read the content. 😃

Umm share ko lng ha.kc hubby ko software engineer ang nominated occupation.yung exp nya sa first company was both a programmer and tester.sa second company nya tester nlng.so software engineer pinili naming nominated occupation para pwede macount parehong experience nya since broad naman job description ng software engineer. Ano po b yung isang experience m before 2011 @altuser41?

@kremitz, since 2005 programmer/developer po. Kung kami mismo ang tatanungin, sure kami sa nominated occupation namin. Based sa Summary Criteria, 6 years talaga ang binabawas kapag RPL. Kung hindi ako nagkakamali hindi pa nagbabawas ang ACS during first half of last year. Pinalad kayo at hindi na ninyo naabutan yung bagong ruling ng ACS. Walang duda malaking dagok sa amin yung nawalang 6 years. Pero ok lang, rules are rules e.

@kremitz MAY 2013 yata nag take effect ang ACS rule na nagbabawas ng work experience. Nakita ko sa timeline nyo, April 29 nyo na submit ang ACS nyo, super blessed yun timing ng application nyo di kayo naabutan ng changes. Same ng friend ko na nasa Oz na, laking pasalamat nila kasi nakapagpasa na sila sa ACS before nagkaron ng ganung change.

Question po.. Ung education ko bscs at ama mkt was assessed by acs as aqf diploma (10points) i have MBA degree pero di makapagbigay ng opinion si Acs kse non ict daw. Need ko pa ba ipa assess ung MBA degree ko sa vetassess? Thanks.

@altuser41 and @johnvangie umm actually affected c hubby sa new ruling. Starting nung may na results nung assessment, hindi lodgement ng skills assessment. Nabawasan c hubby ng two years ata sa experience nya.pero bute na lang naka 7 sa ielts kaya oasok padin sa points hehe basta lahat ng may onwards na lumabas na results, nabawasan ng working experience.may rpl ka pla @altuser41 kaya laki ng bawas.grabe sayang yung exp tsktsk so maka 60 pts kapadin ba?try m nlng sa ielts, state sponsorship at partner skills baka madagdagan pa pts mo 🙂

Question po, from which Uni ung MBA nio? Mejo tricky kasi ung case nio, since indi related ung MBA sa occupation nio kaya indi inaassess ng ACS.
