"Unlike some countries, Australia does not insist on six months passport validity. However, it is recommended that it should not expire when you are in Australia.
You will need a valid passport to leave Australia as well as enter. Some airlines may decline to carry passengers with less than six months validity - you should check with your airline whether this will be an issue for them."
