We’re thrilled to introduce our new Verified Members feature — a big step toward keeping PinoyAU a safe, scam-free, and authentic space for Filipinos in and going to Australia.
✅ What Is a Verified Member?
Think of it as your online Verified ID, but smarter and safer than our national ID.
Verification includes a liveness check — confirming you’re a real person — something even the PH National ID doesn’t yet do!
You’ll still use your forum username for privacy, but behind it is a verified identity, so everyone knows they’re engaging with real, trustworthy people.
🔒 Privacy and Security
Your personal data is not stored on PinoyAU.
All verifications are securely processed by our GDPR-compliant and certified provider Didit.
Only your verified status badge 
is reflected on your profile — no sensitive data is kept on our site.
💬 Why It Matters
- Doing transactions, job posts, or rentals here is far safer than on Facebook or other social platforms because:
- Verified Members are real and accountable
- Private conversations can be logged for safety if disputes arise
- Admins can take action on scammers, unlike social media where reports often go nowhere
🚀 How to Get Verified (Desktop preferred)
1️⃣ Go to your Profile Page (click on your avatar at the top-right)
2️⃣ Click “Identity Verification” on the left navigation menu
3️⃣ Hit the “Start Verification” button
4️⃣ Complete the process on the Didit platform (Mobile phone and Id are required AU or PH )
5️⃣ Once successful, your Verified Member badge will automatically appear on your profile and posts!

You’ll be able to connect directly with Verified LEGIT Pasabuy providers at no cost, giving you more protection and helping the community avoid scammers.
It will take a bit of time to fully work out the process for both those providing and those looking for Pasabuy services, but this is an exciting first step toward a safer and more trusted community marketplace.
