MarkJoseph009 same feeling, lalu na't hindi biro ang ACS fee. pero good news is marami dito ang nag-DIY for ACS and naging successful naman, lalo na for IT Business Analyst roles.
A few points that might help you decide:
- JD from past employers is a good start. Make sure lang na aligned siya sa nominated ANZSCO (usually ICT Business Analyst) — hindi job title ang tinitingnan ng ACS, kundi actual duties.
- If IT-related ang degree mo, mas straightforward. If non-IT, doable pa rin but mas mahigpit lang sa work experience mapping.
- Kung nagdadalawang-isip ka, pwede ka muna magpa-consult before lodging para ma-check if strong yung documents mo. Marami ring agents na document review lang (mas mura kaysa full service).
Tips if DIY:
- Be very careful sa roles & responsibilities (dapat detailed, present tense, at hindi generic)
- Make sure COE + payslips / contracts are consistent
- Avoid copy-paste JD from Google (red flag sa ACS)
If you want, you can:
- Ask around here kung sino yung agent na ACS-only consult but be very mindful, may mga hindi reliable na agents.
- Or post anonymized duties (remove company name) and some seniors here can give general feedback
Dont worry di ka nagiisa, based namen on experience sa Forum, IT BA is one of the safer IT occupations for ACS as long as docs are solid.
Good luck, and welcome to the long but worth-it migration journey!
