Hello po!
After years of doubting myself and the possibilities, I finally decided to get out of my own way and find a path toward my migration to Australia. I'm about to start my General Skilled Migration journey and I'm targeting the ff. visas:
- Skilled Independent (189)
- Skilled Nominated (190)
- Regional Skilled (491)
Would like to get your advice po on which Occupation I should nominate for my Skills assessment via VETASSESS. Nagpa-consult po ako sa isang immigration agent recently and they suggested that I go for 221211 Company Secretary because of my work experience.
But I'm a bit worried about the nominated occupation because of two factors:
- Likelihood / chances of getting nominated: Parang wala pa po akong nakitang successful applicant for this occupation na single, mostly married to licensed professionals like engineers or architects also moving to AUS
- Job description Match: I think my job description is closer to 5222 Executive Assistants (which does not qualify for the visas above), though I've had experience rin working as a Corporate Planning PIC under a company but my main role there was HR Supervisor
Background
- Profile: 30, Female, Single
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts, graduated 2015
- English Proficiency: Will take IELTS after Skills Assessment results, targeting the Proficient or Superior
Current Employment:
I'm currently working as a full-time, remote Executive Assistant for an Australian client based in Brisbane, but as a Contractor po under an AUS & PH-based Agency. I also work part-time in our family business as an HR, Marketing & Operations Manager, but mostly on routine tasks like payroll, government benefits, and daily operational duties like opening & closing shop, bank transactions, and occasional strategic duties like marketing campaigns, salary adjustment, employee concerns & employee training programs. Part-time kasi salitan kami ng kapatid ko on the operational side. Most HR naman ako yung naghahandle.

Generally, I don't put our family business in my resume but I'm considering nominating 1113 Human Resources Managers or 223111 Human Resource Adviser for my Visa.

Approach
For Human Resource Adviser, I'm thinking of just removing all my previous experience in other roles and just focus on my HR role sa family business + HR Supervisor Experience. I'm also considering getting an AHRI as an additional qualification and asking my current client if I can take on additional HR responsibilities in my role and add that to my official job title & description.
What are your thoughts on this po, based on your experience? Mukha po bang feasible or should I just nominate company secretary?
