Wise Virtual Debit Card as Payment Method for the Visa Applicationnn

Hi everyone. Has someone had an experience paying the visa application fee via Digital Card of Wise app? Ang balak kasi namin is to convert in-app na lang yung PHP money to AUD, para diretso as AUD sya ma-debit. Can you share your experience? Need ba itawag din muna kay Wise just to be sure? Ang nakikita ko namang account limit now sa app is PHP 2M.

For reference, we will have to pay more than P400k (_10k AUD) for the fam under SC 189. Thank you so much!

future_is_bright As per DHA website, debit cards are accepted. Pero nun naglodge kami, di tinatanggap yung debit card payment (Php 350k) and we had to use our credit card for the payment.

I checked and it seems pwede yung Wise card for payment.
"Your Wise card must be registered with 3 Domain Secure (3DS) for added security. You will need to approve the transaction in your Wise app or via SMS"

MiEn2Straya thanks for replying @MiEn2Straya ! Oh wow, kakaba naman nung hindi tinanggap yung debit nyo. Yan nga rin worry ko na baka di magproceed. I chatted Wise na rin in their app and they assured me naman na oo tatanggapin daw. Sanaaaa! Haha nag start na ko mag convert ng php namin to au$ in-app eh.

I guess ill just post an update here if ever we succeeded with this payment method. Again, thank you for sharing!

future_is_bright Hahaha, oo. Panic mode talaga kami ng asawa ko noon. Buti na lang may sapat kaming credit limit sa card, tapos binayaran din namin agad in full after ng lodgement from our debit card.
Good luck sa lodgement! Pagkatapos mong makapag‑lodge, pwede ka na magpa‑schedule ng medical exam (if you opt to take it now).

MiEn2Straya thank youu! We need all that good luckkk from all sources HAHA anyway if you don't mind sharing, did you front-load or at least uploaded after lodgment yung Form 80 and/or 1221? Asking for us lol sa mga nababasa ko kasi iba2 talaga ng ginawa.

future_is_bright Thank you! Yes, we did submit Form 80 and not 1221. Submit ka lng since mandatory character-assessment yung Form 80. Wala naman mawawala if magsubmit at least naka-ready na. God bless sa ating lahat. 🙏

Hello! For the information of everyone, ill just post an update here. Everything we planned wd the payment method pushed through.

Bale we funded php money to wise >
converted php to aud in-app >
bc funded na yung aud account, yun na yung account na nadebit ng DHA sa Immi payment portal when we inputted the Wise Digital Debit Card details

Thankfully, it went smooth like butter.
