1.) ALL PR's are entitled to avail CENTRELINK benefits + MEDICARE & Free School for kids. Non-PR visa holders cannot.
2.) Cash receivables from CENTRELINK are based on number of children, job status
3.) It could be availed by submitting documents required by satellite offices near you upon your first entry to Australia.
4.) CENTRELINK has a ceiling limit once you had reached it say for example your regular job is more than the income bracket (they shall inform this info when you apply). Gradually, as your work increase in base value, centrelink receivables on a fortnight basis shall also be inversely decrease until it ceases. Of course logic is you now pay tax so therefore making the government support you less as you prosper. To give you a baseline, I have 4 children aged 12, 10, 9 & 4. I have an estimate of 1,500 AUD per fortnight (every 2 weeks). Good enough to cover our weekly rent (300 AUD/wk), sustain my car's petrol (40 AUD/2 wks used daily) and grocery + utility bills (internet, water & electricity). Of course, entertainment expense comes in option if you got plenty of money to spend like going to movies, beach, etc. Make your wife happy and stress free and your life shall be good here in Australia. ;😉 </blockquote>
