Based on our experience, we submitted the following - bank statements, certificate of employment, id’s, credit card statement, reference letter from previous landlord (shared house and we just requested a letter from the owner of the house) Approved in one day. Maybe both of us are working. Another unit we inspected responded after a month saying we have a strong application and if we are still interested to secure the unit. Before submitting the documents we wrote the agent a letter stating our interest in the unit (eg. near our workplace, safe environment, family friendly suburb, peaceful area, near train and schools)

Malaki ba ang chance na makakuha ng Credit Card dun ang mga bagong PR na kaka-move lang?

@kittykitkat18 , family of 4 kami. Nung nag apply ka may work ka na pala. Paano kung kararating lang ng Australia, wala pang local payslip at credit card, may chance ba makakuha ng unit?

@Lexi credit card in Oz pinakta nmin. Not sure kng acceptable ung sa PH. Hndi nmn mandatory ung credit card statement it so happen nsa list sya nung agent’s requirements. You will need payslips to apply for credit card not sure kng maapprove pag ala pa work

@Megger you can try to offer rent in advance - like 3 mos or maybe offer a higher rental and increase by 5 or 10 aud per wk and/or in advance as well. show you bank statements with significant amount of savings. Lets wait for others kng may nakaexperience makakuha ng unit ng new migrants. Nagstay kasi kme sa shared accommodation for 6 months. For the meantime, try other option of shared accommodation until makapagsettle and establish kyo dto.

@athelene sulit yan. Prepaid ako, 28/mo gastos ko for 16gb total (every week nagrreload ako ng 4gb). Wala din call/text but then bihira ko lang gamitin so okay lang. Data lang talaga kailangan ko haha. Kamusta naman cell reception ng jeenee?

hello, slightly off topic... before ba mag BM may kelangan pa ayusin with SSS, BIR, Philhealth, etc? nagccontribute pa rin kyo kahit nasa AU na? 🙂

@dyanisabelle I find that useful din yung unli calls and text, in case walang internet yung other person. Yung AUD 24/month is discount price, parang 5% discount from orig price. It's not much, but definitely a lot cheaper than 30/month ng Vodafone or other networks. So far OK naman yung service because Jeenee uses Optus network hehe. May rare occasions na nagddrop yung 4G to 3G/H when nsa train underground, but overall I'm happy with it.

@Megger, you can show your rental contract kung nagrerent kayo sa Dubai. Malaking factor to lalo na kung wala pang work. It can be used as a proof kung good tenant kayo. Kami eto lang ginamit namin, no bank statement and mas mababa din ang offer namin kesa sa asking price nila. Pero observation namin is madaling makakuha ng house during winter season kesa pag summer. Kaya siguro naging madali ang pagkuha namin ng house. And they do call din pala yun mga reference na ilalagay nyo sa application form kaya make sure na alam ng mga reference nyo na nilagay nyo sila sa form.

And be friendly sa mga agent. Kasi pag gusto ka nila, e mas malaki ang chance na tanggapin ang offer mo. Sila kasi magsasabi sa owner kung ok ka or hindi.

Hello po, just want to check sa mga nag BM na meron ba sa inyo nagpaship ng few personal items from Manila to Au? If so, is there any cargo company here in philippines that accepts shipping to australia? Thank you po sa mga pede makasagot. We'll be moving na this October and im just wondering if we can ship few things namen.

@Lexi okay naman, nasa website nila lahat ng forms, prepare mo na lahat ng kailangan para isang punta lang. As far as I remember merong form, affidavit (na kailangan i notarize) tapos copy ng visa grant kailangan. 1 month or 2 months yung unang sinabi sakin na processing time, pero may kakilala kasi kami na nakapag follow up so nakuha ko din yung cheque after 2 days. So di ko alam bakit ganun kabagal yung sinabing lead time nila (kasi kaya naman pala maprocess agad)
