Sino na po ang nakapag RPL (recognition of prior learning) dito?

hello kabayan, ask ko lang po kung sino na nakapag RPL dito?

RPL is a process wherein you can acquire a certain Certificate/Diploma without having to attend a class. Bale you can have a certificate/diploma just by proving through work experience na alam mo na yung subject matter. pwede rin through verification of competencies by your supervisor or plant manager in your job area as well a pictures of you undertaking the task.

My wife, sy main applicant rinequired sya mag RPL kasi hindi sa graduate ng IT but working as IT Analyst

Oo more on documantation, IT experience nya since secondary years, college and now as professional paano mo naapply ang IT skills and ang na gain mo skillset para ganun lang sir.

Tapos magbigay ka ng mga project na nagawa mo to justify your IT skills.

basically iproprove mo lang sa isang assessor kung ano ang field mo....if engineering, sa tingin ko e parang walang RPL, though hinde ko sure...titignan nila ung TOR mo then ung working experience mo as engineer....

in my case, since most of my experience e Process/Power Plant, nai-prove ko lang ung pagiging Control Room Operator ko...ive gathered much evidence sa previous work ko plus ung work ko sa middle east....then a little interview ng assessor about the process...

moreover, na-credit din ung nasa TOR (heat transfer and fluid mechanics at ung IPE pala)

RPL is way much cheaper...kase instead na aattend ka ng classroom training e kahit hinde na since may working experience ka na naman....so, instead of paying the full amount e macrecredit na un thru RPL which is mas mura nga...

also, importante rin ung work place verifier....meaning, former supervisor/manager mo na pipirma sa mga documents na nagpapatunay na ginagawa mo siya...

Bale may Core units kase at Elective units na pagpipilian... :-)

@dhey_almighty thanks...napa praning na ako sa mga dapat ko ayusin before the big move. Started to wonder how relevant is the local experience required by employers sa job hunt which is zero pa. Kaya by all means I need this RPL or AU available training certificates like you did.

Also, off topic slightly, may fortnight na ba ako matatanggap pagpunta ko dyan mag isa sa centerlink? given no work pa. Thanks sa tips

@jedh_g since magpupunta ka ng solo....hinde ko sure kung may makukuha ka na agad...pero parang wala pa yata... :-)

wag mo na muna isipin yang RPL na yan...ang unahin mo muna e apply apply lang muna at baka maka-swerte ka...either engineering job or odd job....magsettle in ka na muna bago mo isipin yang RPL na yan at medyo mabigat din ang presyo nyan :-)

fyi, may mga employer na nagcoconsider maghire ng engineer kahit hinde accredited dito ung engineering degree mo...pero swertihan lang talaga... :-)

moreover, if ever ma-hire ka nga na engineer sa isang employer, hinde automatically na engineer na ang status mo dito sa Australia...you really need to be a chartered engineer or something like that para talagang engineer ka dito sa Aus....

halimbawa, engineer ka na nhire sa isang employer...then after a few years e biglang nagdownsise si employer...at sa kasamaang palad e natangal ka...if ever magapply ka ulet sa ibang company, baka hanapan ka na ng "engineering degree" here in Aus....same goes sa iabng trades din...marami ako ng nakilalang ganyan...457 sila then hire sa pinas...since bagsak ang mining, nahihirapan silang makabalik ng mines at hinahanapan sila ng trade certificates na galing dito Aus...

Hi, I am confused, I thought RPL is required sa mga non-IT grads. And will help on ACS assessment only. Why do you need RPL in order to get a job?

@grant512 musta? Had to clear this kasi lapit na big move ko that is why I am asking. RPL is an assessment process if hindi pa recognized for example ng EA (in case you are an engineer as a profession). But my take on this if in case, you wanted na meron ka additional skill and you cannot support it thru a document like TESDA here in the Philippines, RPL shall be recommended to support your skill claim.

Does not necessary mean na gating ito for an employment. Kasi nga nasa Australia ka na, authorities wanted to be sure you are really competent before they hire you as for example you go into "welding" and you had undergone a basic skill course and actual number of hours in this field. Tama ba @dhey_almighty ?

@grant512 i think yung sinasabi nila is you can get a certificate issued by rto sa oz pag naging successful ang rpl mo.. which you can use as credentials when applying for a job

@grant512 inip na rin at medyo relax mode na...ganito pala ang feeling ng waiting mode ng visa grant ang dami rin iniisip pero medyo nakakaidlip na ng maayos with a smile on one's face haha...si misis umapela sa 'kin, sa october na daw ako umalis kasi mami-miss na daw nya ako pag mag isa na lang sya. Sa office naman, kakaguilty rin kasi 'di pa alam ng senior manager ko na may balak ako mag migrate...

@grant512 sydney mo ba plan mag live and work with family mo? I'm thinking of my flight itinerary manila to sydney then sydney to perth as viable. Pag hindi kasi, manila to singapore, singapore to perth. Meron din kasi akong mga friends at sydney at isa pa may offer si respall na pwede tuluyan sa blacktown. Parang gusto ko lumapag sa sydney muna kahit 2-3 days lang then home sweet home na sa perth. Ikaw mate ano plan mo?
