Wow it's nice to know that the thread I created last 2013 is still alive 🙂 I would say Australia is really a great place for family. If you are Single nothing beats Singapore when it comes to savings! I can still recall my tax there was really just a pinch of salt compared here in Australia. Ang bilis mag ipon sa SG. hehehe

well each country has its pros and cons. depende sa priorities and like u said mas malaki maiipon f single sa SG.. and f may family mas dadami ang need i consider like most of us here. for someone like me na may family to bring and ang main reason is for a better place to live, stay and grow old (probably) then i trust your feedback like most of those who are residents/citizens na in this forum..

Thing is ganito - sa Singapore kasi because we have this mentality na very low tax, very cheap food, very cheap to travel abroad (kahit mag Europe kaya at least every 2 years) - we tend to overspend...

Now enter Melbourne in 2013 - we arrived here na may baon but walang work. As we don't want to dip into our savings, we learnt how to save like cook our own meals, buy only when special, etc...

Did we save more here or in Singapore? I think so... 🙂

But life is good here! But as I have said many times, I still miss Singapore. I am more at home there than in Pinas.

Hello po sa lahat. Tanong ko rin to kasi im still deciding kung saan talaga kami mag aapply to migrate, canada or au. Nasa manitoba kasi yung mga relatives ni hubby and walang bayad ang application, need lang ng show money. Sa isang banda mas practical at may mag ga guide pa samin. Sa australia naman, feeling ko mas magiging happy ako dahil sa mas ok ang klima and wala akong iisiping in laws hehe. Yun nga lang kailangan namin ng mas malaking budget and start talaga kami from scratch dahil wala kami kahit isang kamag anak dun. Another factor im considering is parang mas mahirap makapagdala ng kamag anak sa australia? Pls let me know what you guys think 🙂

oo better ang australia kung wala kang in-laws 😃 , lahat naman dito nag start from scratch at wala pa naman ako kakilala na inde happy dito // yup yun nga lang mas mahal nga dito

@hannahmi oo nga.. Australia ka nalang.. mas happy nga raw ang mga tao dyan based on the top 10 quality of life.. lagi nasa top 3 or 5 ang Australia sa list.. hehe..

Good to hear from you peeps, tnx a lot. Mukhang mas ok nga australia, i worked dati as an accounting analyst sa TPG call center sa Pinas and ok naman ka transact mga Aussies. And yun nga parang wala naman nagpunta dun na hindi happy. Wala pang inlaws 😃 Kahit si hubby mas gusto din daw nya dun. Will definitely try to pursue our dream this year, Im still preparing for my PTE exam though, sana makapasok, goodluck sa ating lahat 🙂

Bakit Australia? Dahil para sa pamilya ko. We are a young family here in Singapore and we got the grant in a timely manner where we cannot sacrifice being apart from our 9 month old son who was denied from having a dependent pass or student pass.
