Dear all, while I was typing my previous comment, email notifications popped up on my phone. And through Godβs grace, it was the Golden E-mail I have been waiting. Thank you everyone who have been part of my application for visa 189 journey.
I was 20 years old when I first land in Sydney. That was just 10days after my college graduation. I was part of the team sent by our company to Sydney to undergo 3 months of training. That was the time I started thinking about living in Australia as a migrant but due to financial constraints, not being in the ideal age and lack of years of work experience, among others, I had to wait a while to be prepared. Fast forward to four years after, which was last year, I started collating documents for my skills assessment. It was tough collecting syllabus from my University where the buildings and colleges are kilometers away from each other and the cashier and registrar are miles away from my home college. I also had to endure the traffic in Makati and BGC after office hours plus persuading my previous bosses to give me very detailed COEs which are beyond what the HR normally gives. Iβm so blessed to have been granted a positive assessment result and was credited years of experience to claim 5points.
Last March I finally reached the ideal age for the application. After celebrating my 25th birthday, I started reviewing for PTE Academic. I had to re-take an English exam because I did not reach an all-8.0 in IELTS for me to claim the maximum points. I thought an 8.0 was easy to get in IELTS. I was wrong. God sent angels from heaven disguised as my friends and helped me review for PTE. It was a 2-month routine of reviewing at 10pm-12am during weekdays and half-day during weekends. Thankfully I got the score I badly needed to pursue my EOI. And then you know the rest of my story. People here in the forum were and continue to be blessings in disguise. I cannot believe I can be comfortable sharing my experiences and hardships to people I donβt even know personally.
To all of you guys who have been my virtual friends and mentors, thank you very much. God bless us all!
With much love and thanks,
@allej
