bossing lets say nagregister ako dito today, need ko na ba agad magtransfer?
paano sistema nang ginawa mo dito?
iniwan mo pera mo sa DBS or POSB tapos lipad ka OZ
then pagdating OZ saka ka lang nagtransfer?
kasi for sure wala kapang bank nun so kelangan mo pa magbukas nang banks sa OZ tama ba? bago transfer
gaano kabilis ito?
maraming salamats
What I did was nagdala lang kami (family) ng enough funds nung magpunta kami dito. That's more than A$10k kaya naman I know you can bring in more -- you just have to declare the money on arrival sa Oz, and the Oz Customs will get you to sign another form na rin.
Then pagdating dito, nag-open ako ng bank account with NAB. If you can get a driving license, mas madaling proseso ang mag-open ng bank account, but in my case, since wala pa ako nun, passport and letters from govt (Centrelink) ang ni-present ko.
Then nag-open ako ng account with OzForex. You'll have to send them documents to prove your identity then (online lang naman), and they'll call you for verification. After you're cleared, pwede ka ng mag-transact. No, you are not required to transfer money straight away. It's totally up to you when -- if ok ang rate (coz it fluctuates every now & then in a day) then you book it, and then transfer money from your SG Bank Account to theirs (DBS Bank Account).
I can't remember how long it took before I did my first transaction.. but off the top of my head, my OzForex account was ready in approx 2 business days. The actual funds transfer -- from SG to AU Bank Account -- will take somewhere between 2 and 3 business days (depende kung anong oras ka nag-submit ng transaction).
