Sa wlang habas na pagtaas ng RENT at expenses sa SG, napapaisip ako if BIG MOVE agad pagka GRANT ng VISA or Uwi muna sa Pinas, para makita ang family. With 2 very young kids, mukhang matinding adjustment ang need, specially sa travel options.
San po kaya pinaka OK mag-aral mag drive sa SG?
Sa mga magragrant or na grant na sa Victoria, sinama nyo ba agad buong family?
And may nakapag apply na ba at positive response from employer in AU while still waiting visa grant?
TIA mga ka gapo
On driving --- option ko rin mag driving lessons dito sa SG late last year (just after getting invited ko lang naisipan kasi di naman natin need dito sa SG mag drive, ganda ganda ng transport system. sa Pinas naman, never saw the need as well bukod sa lala ng traffic dun, kasi in general cars for me are just liability at the end of the day), kaya lang based sa research ko mahirap maka kuha ng schedule sa mga sessions. e need mo tapusin yung sessions with an instructor, and some people said it can take more than 6mos to finish everything due schedule scarcity (yes, marami nagaaral mag drive sa SG apparently).
So I just cancelled the plans, and thinking of doing it in Oz from scratch. Gives me anxiety sometimes, haha, but oh well guess it's inevitable once we move there.
Kung hindi ka nagmamadali, and you have the luxury and patience to finish it even beyond 6mos, then I suggest try it out. Find a good driving school. Tatlo lang naman ang major school dito sa SG, madali makita sa Google haha
On rent and BM --- sobrang lala nga ng rental market dito sa SG ngayon. But there is a similar situation in Oz as well. So, you need to review your options carefully. Wala ako mabibigay na advice pano maghanap ng bahay na mabilis while offshore, but you can read some of the comments from the other peeps here regarding that.
On bringing the whole family with you right away --- ikaw lang makakasagot nyan haha. May enough budget ba for the whole family to sustain your needs while finding a job? May bahay na ba na matitirhan that can accommodate everyone? Again, review your situation.
On finding a job while offshore and waiting for grant --- merong nagcomment dito na ginawa na nila yan, and there are companies contacting them and willing to wait / consider them after the visa grant. So, you can surely try that route. Be transparent with the companies you are eyeing for.
