Renunciation of Singapore Permanent Residency

If you wish to renounce your Singapore Permanent Residency, please forward the following documents (original copy) to us:-

Singapore Blue NRIC

Old & Current Passport

Entry Permit/Re-Entry Permit

Employment Pass(es)/Work Permit

Dependent Pass(es)

Certificate of Identity (if applicable)

A letter addressed to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), indicating your wish to renounce your Permanent Residency status. Please also provide your daytime contact details and address.

Any other relevant documents issued to you by the Singapore Government agencies such as ICA, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Manpower, etc.

Please speak to Australian Post or a courier company to arrange safe transport. The Singapore High Commission is not liable or bear any responsibilities for the loss of any travel documents (including passports) and identification papers (including ID, birth certificates, married certificates, contract, etc) sent by mail or courier. We encourage you to forward the above documents at our office in person. However, if you choose to forward the documents by post, please send by registered mail or reliable courier service. Please also enclose a self-addressed stamped return envelope for us to return your passports by post.

You will be informed by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority once your Permanent Residency has been successfully renounced. No fee will be charged for the renunciation of PR.

Tapos po inantay ko ung acknowledgement letter ng ICA na successfully renounced na ung PR ko then nag apply po ako online dun sa withdrawal ng CPF muna. Then nung dumating na po ung letter from ICA, pinadala ko ung copy sa CPF plus ung iba pang mga requirements then nung na credit na po nung CPF tinransfer ko na lang via online banking sa bank acct ko dto.

@happyinmelbourne34 thanks sa tips! yung pts for drivers license to rent a house need po ba Oz drivers license na or pede maconsider sa pts PH drivers license? After how many months po bago kayo nakapag-rent ng own place nyo?

As in minimum requirement po na 100pts? Kailangan pala may sariling car na for 10pts. Better pala na may isa munang mauna sa amin to find a work & prepare the place to stay lalo na may 2kids kami 8 & 5 yrs old.

Hi Everyone, im new here 🙂 SG based din po. Puede po bang magtanong? kasi may CO allocated na for our application. Then nanghingi sya ng PC and health req. Tpos nagreply ako sa kanya kasi ako ung nakatanggap ng email at hindi ung hubby ko which is the main applicant. Tinanong ko bakit hindi nakakatanggap ung hubby ko ng email from them. mag-1 month na po ung email ko pero hindi pa rin sya sumasagot. Is it advisable na tawagan ko na sya?

Kakapass lng namin ng requested docs via email yesterday, worry ko baka hindi nya natatanggap ung mga emails ko eh. Inemail nyo lng din ba ung PCC nyo or in-upload nyo sa eVisa?

Also, di ko macheck ung status namin online kasi laging unavailable kapag kini-click ko na ung next after entering the desired info. Ako lng po ba nakaka-experience nito? Kayo po ba nakakacheck ng status online?

@sydneyblued - wala kc kong drivers license non kaya ang prinesent ko lang dun sa house agent ay ung birth certificate, passport ko, medicare card so 90 pts na sya para ma complete ko ung 10 pts isinama ko na dn ung offer of employment dun sa 2nd job ko pati payslips dun sa 1st job, 10 pts dn yata equivalent nyan at ung acknowledgment letter from bank NAB. Nag open kc ko sa kanila ng acct habang andyan pa ko non sa SG, ok nman sa agent.

Ung license d ko sure kung pwede ung PH license sa pagkaalam ko dapat Oz, mag convert k na lang agad pagdating dto. Pero pagkaalam ko pag PH license need mo mag actual drive test para ma i convert mo to Oz license. At least ok na dn kung actual drive test lang ang pagdadaanan mo ndi ganon kagastos, ako ko kc dto na ko natututo mag drive at haba ng process kelangan muna mag learners permit may computer exam pa medyo mahal ung bayad, tapos after ng learner, P (probationary) nman need ulit magbayad at mapasa ung computer exam tapos actual drive test at dapat pareho na maipasa para mabigyan ng probationary license. Hehehe, sobrang stress ko pa sa computer exam ng P-plate kc naka 3 re-take ako bago ko pumasa buti ung actual drive test pasado ko ng 1st take. Sa Vicroads ito, pero alam ko halos parehos lang ung system sa ibang states ng pagkuha ng license.

Yup, I strongly suggest na kung may family ka may 1 muna mauna para makapaghanap ng work at mag prepare ng place to stay. Importante work muna then ung place medyo madali nman na mag rent ng sariling flat pag may work na at least ma ga gauge mo kung gano ka accessible sa workplace mo, schools ng mga bata, at iba pa.

hi RobertSG, inabot dn po ng 1 1/2 months bung entire process, kc late May ako nag withdraw ng PR then nakuha ko ung CPF ko ng mga early July. Pero kasama na po dto ung pag-aantay ko nung mail from Embassy then wait ng mail para acknowledgment fr ICA, CPF. Sabi ko kc non ayaw ko muna i withdraw since natatakot pa ko non na baka d ako magka work dto, tsaka ung baon nmin non e for 2 months lang tlaga pag walang nakuha na work e babalik ng SG 🙂

If medyo need mo ung CPF money, habang dyan ka pa withdraw mo na since mabilis lang pag dyan, within 10-12 working days lang yata ma pro process na ng CPF.

@ jengrata, may binigay ba na specific na number ung CO mo? If wala at ung hotline number ka ng DIAC tatawag, suggestion lang na agahan mo ung pagtawag sa kanila nakalimutan ko kung anong oras ang start nila kung 8 o 8:30 ba. Na experience ko kc non tumawag ako sa DIAC non ng tanghali dto para mag inquire regarding sa partner visa, more than 30 minutes ako nag antay para sa customer rep. Pero naalala ko nung nagkaron ng case officer ung partner ko at ni require sya mag medical test, dun sa letter nya sa min meron syang sariling extension line. Sabi dun sa letter na within 1 month dapat makapag medical sya at ma provide ung PCC, kung ma dedelay daw eh i-inform sya agad. Medyo kinapos ung 1 month kc may nakita dun s medical result ng partner ko kaya need nya to undergo further testing at ung PCC nya na delay dn kaya tnawagan ko ung case officer dun sa sarili nyang extension at ok lang nman daw at naka reflect sa computer system nla na nag undergo na sya ng medical at need ng further testing.

ur welcome sydneyblued 🙂 ...don't worry makakahanap ka nyan basta dasal at tyaga lang. Try ka dn apply online habang andyan k p pa although bihira ung employer na tumatanggap. Nung nasa SG pa ko, i tried na mag apply may mga tumawag nman for interview pero sinabihan dn ako ng HR na nag interview sa kin na better na tingnan ko daw muna ung location hehehe kc sa Wyalla ung lugar, nung gingoogle ko after ng phone interview sobrang dulo na pala ng South Australia at kumbaga sa Pinas e probinsya at sobrang layo sa kabihasnan.

Under k ba ng state sponsorship Or nakapag visit k na ng Sydney before? Kc kung d ka nman under state sponsorship, I also suggest na at least visit ung key cities dto then you decide kung san mo gusto mag settle. Hehehe, d ko kc gnawa non basta wala lang naisipan lang nmin na Melbourne dahil dun pamphlet n binigay s kin nung agent ko na sabi multi cultural. Pero cguro kung gnawa ko yun, baka sa Queensland kami nag settle dahil sa weather. Sobrang gnaw kc ng winter dto sa Melbourne, sa mga key cities pangalawa yata to sa Hobart sa pinakamalamig during winter sa Queensland mild lang daw. Anyway, tingnan ko kung after 2-3 yrs maka transfer interstate 🙂

Don't depend sa status, as long as na upload mo na ung document, at nakita mo siya sa list na uploaded - ok na un. May ibang CO na nde masipag, nde na nila na-uupdate ung doc status online hehe. I believe malapit na visa grant mo kase na upload mo na lahat ng requirements ni CO 🙂

Eversince, nde tlaga kame nakaka login sa https://www.ecom.immi.gov.au/inquiry/query/query.do?action=eVisa nde ka nag iisa haha

For the medical result, clinic will upload it online - usually 2 days after your medical exam. You can call them to confirm.

Tumawag nmn ako sa SATA napass nmn na daw nila. Kaso walang way para madouble check ntin kung totoo? Mukha ngang tamad ung naassign sa amin kasi di nga sumasagot sa mga emails ko eh. Hay.

Nakita ko nmn na uploaded na ung mga docs, nagappear na sya sa list.

Naku sana nga ma-approve na. Kaka-tense pala mag-antay. Hahaha.

Talaga di nageentertain ng overseas applicants kahit may visa na?

Super lamig na dito ngayon sa Melbourne and it is not even winter yet - time like this, I miss my daily evening walk (from ORQ area to Brah Basah MRT area) to fetch misis sa office nya. I miss also the food!! Ahahaha... 🙂
