@JPK - not all skill assessments require IELTS, depende kung anung occupation mo..merong iba na pwede assessment muna, then saka na ang IELTS after pumasa...

@JPK gaya ng sabi ni @lock_code2004 check mu muna if required ba ang ielts sa occupation mo. if hindi naman better guro pa assess ka muna then while waiting for the result take ka ng ielts. medyo matagal2x din yung pag-a-assess eh.

Software Tester po ang i-nominate ko na occupation. Required po bale ang IELTS, yun General Training. Tama po ba ang intindi ko?

Magstart na rin ako magprepare ng RPL (Non-IT kasi qualification ko).

Hello SG-AU peeps, ask ko lang kung ano ang cheapest (and safest) way of bringing your SGD to AU. My husband tried inquiring with Citibank SG if we can open a Citibank AU account here, di daw pwede. Isip naman namin if ok bang papalitan ang SGD to AUD before leaving, or SGD-USD-AUD (which I think is malaking loss sa exchange rate). Any feedback would be appreciated!

Tomorrow 1 month na ako dito at di man lang nag ring telepono q for interview or kung ano pa man. Panay rejection ang na re-receive ko sa email q..huhuhu! I am thingking going back sa SG nalang ulit at dyan nalang mag jobhunt..I am confused na to hang on or give up na kasi iniisip ko rin hirap at pera na dinanas ko sa pag apply dito. Wala na kasi cashflow na napasok since wife is housewife lang..

troy, if you don't mind do you have enough money to stay 6 months without any cash coming-in? ako kasi ang plan namin is to survive first 6 months na zero income..

Maaga pa ang 1 month Sir @troy... First month ko ganyan din, walang pumapansin except mga rejection emails.

All the best to you! Ganyan talaga kapag magstart dito sa Australia; it can be very expensive as mahal lahat dito and walang pumapasok na income.

If I may ask, what is your occupation?

2 months po @jengrata - i am a Banking & Financial Services Professional for the past 7 years; not a lot of technical skills on my end.

News like: the slowdown in the Chinese economy which in turn will slow down the mining industry in Australia; as some of us may now, the growth engine of Australia is in the mining industry. Without this, affected lahat...

Also, layoffs everyone once in a while in the news for the past few weeks!! 🙂 Unemployment at 5.6% with it forecasted to creep up to 6% in the coming months.

It is really that depressing if you let it affect you but hey, been through this na rin before. My wife and I started in Singapore at the heart of the GFC; I started working a few weeks after Lehman Brothers collapsed.

Just prep yourself up emotionally... Kaya kung sa kaya!!

No, it is just me and the ex-gf... 😃

She started working last week. Slowly, but slowly, we are trying to build our life eh! 😉

I still miss Singapore though; everyday yan... Ahahaha!! 🙂
