Applying as a Chef for Visa 189

Hi everyone,

I am fairly new here and I have not yet seen a thread for applying as a chef migrating as a permanent resident in Australia, so I was wondering if someone could please help me out on the step-by-step process for the application? I have about more than 3 years experience working in the United States and in the Philippines, and I understand that the nominated occupation as a "Chef" is under the TRA Migration Skills Assessment. Help would be much appreciated, Thank you very much.

I am also interested to know more details..my husband is also a chef and he will be the primary applicant

Hi @marconicolo and @bettyboop the assessments are done by either Angliss, Vetassess or Victoria Uni. for Philippine applicants. We recommend using Angliss as they are easier to work with. Their assessments are only via interview but it has to be face to face. We schedule assessments in Manila and if there are not enough Chef applicants we schedule them to do the migration assessment in Singapore. If you want you can email us your CV and we'll speak to Angliss about an initial assessment and guide you through the whole application, including PR if you wish. Saan po naka base migration agent nyo? How long po ang process nyo sa visa190?

Apply ka na kagad just in case matuloy yung pagtanggal ng chef sa SOL sa 2017.

FYI in case di niyo pa po ito nababasa. Merong lumabas nung Nov 25 na list of flagged occupations na posibleng tanggalin sa SOL 2017. Posible lang naman. In previous years daw, may mga naflag pero di naman tinanggal.

@auitdreamer @bettyboop mdli lng po ang assessment s chef, i have my assessment in just 1month. from gathering-submission. you can ask for availability of assessment nmn. then the face to face interview ok lng din lalo n s singapore. bsta payo ko lang dpt lht complete document. work photo, list of menu, photo of menu, SSS record, ITR, then dapat inline s course dpt like HRM o Culinary, diploma and TOR. most specially, if you will claim work exp. dpt lht my COE, with payslip proof.
