just would like to share my experience, currently with health.com.au as a coverage on my TSS 482 Visa...
nagpunta po kami ng Emergency recently to have our son checked, he kept on crying one day and found out that he had pharyngitis (tama ba spell ko haha), this was on a Sunday din pala, so walang bukas na mga clinics or GP's to consult... after almost 3 hours being in the hospital, we got out and was advised na dahil first time namin to use our health insurance, yung hospital na bahala mag-arrange in contacting them...
after one month, low and behold! meron akong nakuhang outstanding bill sa mail coming from the hospital, di daw nagbayad yung health insurer namin... pag-chat ko sa kanila (walang call centre ngayon kasi daw pandemic) di daw nila covered yung "emergency" na nangyari sa anak namin, dahil daw "budget" lang yung current cover namin with them, was asked to fork out as much as $500 for the emergency hospital drama...
highly suggested to get a much more comprehensive health insurance company, and please do read the fine prints, ayun na nga, pagkabasa namin ng fine print, hindi kasama ang emergency outpatient, dapat e inpatient ka, dapat pala nagpa-confine kame para sagot nila đŸ™‚ how sad lolz
nakakainis, pero we have learned something from that, need na magpa-PR ASAP! đŸ™‚
