How to get an apartment quickly? any short term?

Hi Guys,

Question lang po.

Recently our PR got approved. So Me and my family (3 of us) will be arriving @ melby by May. I will still be looking for a work by that time and hopefully makakuha kaagad.

Is it hard to get a rented apartment quickly? I heard that there are some requirements.

If I will not be able to get an apartment quickly, do you have any recommendation of short term apartments that we can rent out? (cheap and accessible sa CBD).

@NetEngr mahirap kumuha ng rental apartment from outside OZ kasi isang requirement ay dapat i-view mo muna yung unit before an agent could process your application. I would suggest maghanap ka dito sa forum ng pwedeng mag pa renta kahit private room lang muna and then pwede ka na maghanap ng bahay during that time.

airbnb for short term. and some rental companies may approve your application if you can at least show ample amount of bank savings.

@agentKams - Thanks again!.. I saw some sites like airbnb and shortstay.com.au, most are quite pricey.. and some do not allow cooking.. 😛 I hope it will not take that long before I can get an apartment..

@NetEngr a bit pricey tlga. pinoy au-melbourne group in FB do have some postings for short stay baka makakita ka dun.
