Hi I am new here. Me & my wife are based in SG. Im currently on a long break from work since July last year 2016, nag karoon ng medical emergency father ko so assist ko muna siya in recovery back in the Philippines. Fast forward to 2017, now that he's back in good shape I'm planning to go back to work in SG. But I was thinking of trying to apply for an immigrant visa in Australia. I am totally clueless on how to start and would appreciate any advice.

1) Is it a must to engage an immigration agent?

2) Can I apply for a visa without a job?

3) I am an Architect with more than 10 years experience. What Visa should I apply?

4) Should I take IELTS immediately? Wife too?

5) Can I submit an EOI to a specific state even if the code I am applying for is not on their List yet or if the state is close?

May makikita bang link o button sa pag-gawa ng Health Declaration sa Immi Account kahit hindi ka pa nagsa-submit ng Visa Application o dapat i-click muna 'yung "Submit" application button para maka-gawa ka ng Health Dec?

Saka hindi ka ba automatic na papag-bayarin pag nag-submit ka na ng Visa Application?

No if wala kang budget. No if you have enough time and patience. Yes if wala kang oras or patience at madami kang pera.

189 and 190 kung walang employer na magi-sponsor sa iyo at kung gusto mong Permanent Resident ka agad.
Check mo kung pwede PTE sa nominated occupation mo kasi mas madali yata maka-score ng mataas dito. Pero as soon as you feel prepared sa pagkuha ng exam (ie: confident ka sa English mo) and you can budget your time/sched para kumuha ng documents/mag-research, then take it ASAP. 'Yung pagkuha ng english exam ng asawa, only if hindi enough ang points mo. Otherwise, unnecessary expense.
Hindi yata. Kaya ka usually ino-nominate ng state kasi may kakulangan sila sa occupation mo dapat.

@pakjo click mo yung new application sa immi account tpos punta ka sa health tpos click mo "my health declration". Ang payment part is pag na complete mo na yung 17/17 na questions and at the end meron dun na lodge visa meaning payment part na yun.

No need as long na matiyaga ka magresearch at magbasa dahil pede ka mag DIY.
Yes. specifically 189 and 190 for PR; 489 for Temporary visa
232111 (Architect) is both on SOL and CSOL. Means, you can apply for either 189 or 190. This page may help you. <b class="Bold">http://deltaimmigration.com.au/Architect/232111.htm</b>
You may want to have your skills assessment first. Yung iba kasing assessing bodies, need nila IELTS result talaga, like sa EA. Yours should be assessed under <b class="Bold">AACA</b>. As far as I know, pede ka magpa-assess kahit wala ka pa English language result. You can choose either PTE or IELTS. Based on reviews, mas lenient ang scoring ng PTE pero depende pa rin sa kung san ang strengths/weaknesses mo.

Your wife, if she completed 3yrs (if Im not mistaken) in college/uni, pwedeng CEMI (Cert. of English as Medium of Instruction) na lang ang i-submit nya. Pero if you are claiming points for partner skills, kailangan nya rin ng IELTS/PTE and assessment.

As far as I know, yes you can, in some state. May iba't-iba kasing policy bawat state. For example, NSW has this Stream 2, which is pede ka magsubmit ng EOI even if wala sa list nila ang NomOcc mo, provided you are one of the highest-pointer (70pts and above, I think).

question to anyone who applied na may "JR" o "III" sa pangalan.

sa birth cert at marriage cert ko, sa last name field nilagay ang"JR". all other documents/IDs ko, under siya ng first name. may naka-encounter ba sa inyo ng problema regarding dito sa Visa Application?

as-is ko kasi nilalagay yung last name/first name, depende sa kung ano 'yung naka-lagay sa ID or supporting document na inissue sa akin.

yeah. ganun din naman ginawa ko, passport yung parang "mother" document ko for application. ang tanong ko kung me naka-experience ba dito na OC yung case officer at pina-kinwestyon pa 'yung difference birth cert at passport names or nanghingi pa ng additional document dahil lang sa maling placement ng "JR" dun sa birth/marriage cert.
