Yes, Basta ma establish mo yung mga Units and Elements of competency sa EA assessment, maybe under Professional Engineer, then ok... basta QA related din ang job title mo.

Kung tingnan mo sa MSA Booklet, under PE2: Engineering Application Ability--> PE 2.2 Fluent application of engineering techniques, tools and resources --> j) Understands the role of quality management systems, tools and processes within a culture of continuous

improvement.. dami mo ma hit na experience dito.

And also, make sure you mention mga IE-related tools na nagamit mo sa pagiging QA mo sa construction. Kahit construction yan, process related din, so pasok parin ang IE.

One more thing, try to relate your CDR on some IE subjects and tools. I used this reference in my case, if applicable sa mga tasks mo

Check sa EA website ano ang recent SLA nila sa reply, nag iiba kase. If fastrack, mga more or less 1 month.

@onin111 Is it ok po ba to include in your career episode yung experience mo 14 years ago? Or kailangan within the last 10 years lang? Prior my construction job nag work din ako sa manufacturing for 3 years from 2004 to 2007. Possible po ba na maconsider yun?

Within 10 years lang talaga ang i-consider nila. But for my case, mga 13 years na experience nilagay ko, but di ako sure if na consider nila yun.

Hi @Janet_0214 . In my case - my first and second career episodes were more than 10 years old (one is undergraduate plant design). The third is a recent project. Career episodes mainly establish your engineering qualifications. If they are within 10 years, career episodes are likewise valuable in claiming years of experience.

Hi @Janet_0214 . The limit is set in claiming migration points, only for the last 10 years. Say, you have 10 years of experience but 5 years of which were gained more than 10 years ago, then your points will be based only on the other 5 years falling within the last 10 years.

Hi @Janet_0214 . To your question - yes.

Engineers Australia is focused on assessment of relevant skills, qualifications and skilled employment regardless of the period. Department of Home Affairs is focused on skilled employment in the last 10 years and corresponding points.

You are getting assessed by EA in order to evidence to DHA that you have the relevant skills, qualifications and certain years of skilled employment in the last 10 years.

Hi all,

I'm an IE grad from UP Diliman. Na grant na ako ng Visa 476 and pupunta na ako Sydney sa Jan. I'm worried lang about applying for PR kasi hindi ako sure kung icoconsider nilang IE yung gusto kong job.

Right now I'm working as a Project Management Officer for an IT company. Di ko masyado trip right now, kulang sa technical aspect yung role for me. So plano ko magshift towards Data Science related track pag dating ko ng Australia. I'm looking at Data Analytics jobs that use Python, SQL, R, etc. and work on Machine Learning models, Linear regression, etc.

I'm wondering kung irerecognize nila ang Data Analyst/Data Scientist/Business Intelligence role kung magaapply ako ng PR as IE.

This is just my opinion po.

If you can apply any of the IE methods in doing your Data analytics tasks, and elaborate the application using the EA MSA guidelines, you might have a good chance.

In my case kase, I started my career episode as a packaging engineer, using CAD and it was basically design in nature. What I did was applying IE knowledge to improve our process as a team, optimizing output with same amount of resource, workload monitoring, and stuff... I didn't narrate anything about how I design packaging.. so basically write according to what's asked in the MSA+IE application.

Thanks for the advice! Okay that sounds good. I plan to get my degree assessed as soon as I get there for the 15 points. How does getting the 5 points for 1 year skilled employment in AU go?

I'm thinking worst case scenario, I can rack up 70 points (30 for age, 20 for english, 15 for degree and 5 for community language filipino) even without the +5 from 1 year skilled employment.

Go for 75 to be sure. I guess the same requirement for outside AU skilled employment requirements.. COE, super, payslips...
