hi @carboy - we had our med. exam at St. Lukes... (Check Timeline) just to give you a scenario, we arrived and started processing everything at 8am... mabilis x-ray, blood test, and stats - kasi una hiwalay Canada, Au, and NZ lane... but last stop Physical Exam - stranded lahat ng applicants s 5th floor... natapos kami ng 5pm... We got the result ok naman lahat. Pag may problema sasabihin naman nila sayo on the dot... Un lang ang tagal ng waiting time...but we had to hehehe...

Au staff - ok naman comapared to NZ na ang shungit ng nurse/attendant. Just want to mention the doctor for ladies - napunta sa akin, ang sungit din (siguro she's damn tired, but dapat nice pa din - terrorista siya spcially sa mga bata kaya everytime they went out of the room cry cry sila) dun s doctors for men - mababait... swerte.

Ask ko lang kung may na karanas na sa inyo na ma referred yun medical, then granted ng visa but need to have a check up once makarating sa OZ..kasi kami mag initial entry muna ng one week lang sa OZ baka mag pasked ako ng check up then pabalikin sa OZ because sa check up lang

@stabilo..Yes pwdeng mangyari po un.. U don't have to worry ksi libre namn yan ehh.. bsta pagdating m ng OZ apply ka kaagad ng medicare card m pra libre ung check up m.. Number 1 priority ksi ng OZ government ang health.. Kaya nirequest ka ng further check up d2. If u don't mind anu ba ang findings sau but nirequest ka ng check.up?

ask ko lang pwede ba ,ag apply ng medicare card even 1week lang ako sa OZ?

@stabilo..yes pwde po..madali lg mag apply sa medicare, pgkaapply m bibgyan ka nila ng temporary lg, prang papel lg yan na nkalagay dun ung medcare card number m at pwde m na yan mgamit sa check.up m.. Den ung medcare card tlga is after 3 weeks pa un. So u have to nominate an australian address kung saan nla pwde e send ung medcare card m.

ang problem ko lang need ko pa kumuha ng schedule para magpacheck up sa OZ once ginawa ko ung initial entry as my CO ask for it...so dont know if makakaapply me ng medicare card by that time :-)

may nakapagtry nb ng ganitong scenario na CO ask for you to have a medical check up pagkatungtong mo sa OZ?

@stabilo..Kayang kaya ng isang araw yan.. Pagdating m ng OZ hanap ka kaagad ng clinic kung saan ka mgpapacheck.up.. den while waiting ng sched m process ka ng medicare.. ung medicare sobrang dali lg yan ehh..

Na upload na daw po nila, yung sa asawa ko wlang issues uploaded/received na daw.

Yung sakin d pa nila inupload kasi echecheck uli ako sugar ko.

Kanina nag retake, ganun pa din eh.

Sabi ng doctor tanungin nila ang AU HOC if pwede next month nalang e-upload ang results ko kasi pinag under medication naman nya ako baka mababa na next month.

Sagot ng AU HOC e-upload na daw yung results kasi meron naman daw silang mga doctors na makapagsabi kung ano gagawin.

Kaya ayun e-upload na daw po nila.

Pababalikin pa rin ako ng doctor after a month para sa result nung medication.

Kaya iwas tamis na at dapat mag exercise hehehe..

@Khaosan_Road..Un po ang hndi q alam.. depende po yan sa doctor na titingin ky @stabilo.. Dahil ung sa mum and dad q, every 3 months ung check up nla.. Diabetics cla both.. But ngaun stop na, ksi naging ok na ung sugar nla..

@alexamae..Iwas carbo po muna kayo, kasi maraming sugar content ung rice.. And yes, kailangan nyo pong mag exercise.. Den more on fish lg muna at no for softdrinks for the meantime..

@alexamae my wife is a known diabetic even before we had our medicals done at nationwide. mataas sugar nya but walang medication na binigay, nerefer yung case nya and i think medyo matatagalan pa ang decision nila... anyway, here's their reply received today;

Please note that the medical results of your wife have been referred to the

Health Operation Centre in Australia for review by a Medical officer of the

Commonwealth, last 03 May 2013. Due to current backlogs with the Health

Operations Centre deferred medicals are taking approximately 8 weeks (from

date of referral) for a decision to be made.

Please note that immigration health criteria is a public interest criteria

that applies to this visa application and so this is the reason why this

visa application cannot be finalised until an immigration health assessment

outcome has been received by this office.
