sharing my travel experience a couple of weeks ago at NAIA 1 immigration;
officer: bakit ngayon ka lang aalis eh ung CFO mo dated april pa?
ako: kasi po i needed to attend to so many things at home like the house for sale & things to ship & bring. may problema po ba? [hindi pinansin ang tanong at tuluyan tinatakan ang passport ko but in my mind, oo nga, ano ba problema kung ngayon lang ako aalis eh hindi naman expired ang passport nor my visa or my CFO stamp. ay sus! may masabi o matanong lang. di ko alam kung may psyching related sa tanong. btw, wala akong stress sa qantas staff. ang babait unlike what happened to my son at CX.]
at sydney airport: hahahah! heto nakakatawa. as some of u knew i had 3 BB boxes & 1 luggage. syempre, hindi kasya un lahat sa isang trolley & i was all alone. 8-| so from the conveyor 2 trolleys at alternately ko pinu-push & halted sa isang sulok until i reached the customs. when officer A instructed me to proceed to customs station 1, i said i still have another trolley down there.
officer A: ok, let me help u. (& proceeded to get my trolley about 10 meters away)
me: wow! thank u, sir!
officer B: (w/ a big voice & stern looks) look, it's not our duty to help u with ur trolley. next time u should ask any airline staff to help u.
me: i am sorry sir, but this will never happen again. this will my 1st & the last.
officer C: what did she say? (officer B just repeated to him what i just said. mwehhh! 😃)
so to station custom/inspection officer. he looked asian like an indonesian but kinda filipino-ish also.
inspector: what have u declared? pls bring out all what u've written here on ur card. but first patingin muna sapatos mo? [hehehe! filipino pala. so proceeded to show him all the things i declared such as 1 kilo of dried pusit (he opened the package wrapped into a plastic, newspaper & plastic again, heavily sealed), loofah, wood massager, wooden picture frame, my vitamins & meds (lots of them), etc. supportive naman sya at the same time did his best to do his job, in fact, hinatid nya ako palabas by pushing the trolley 2 himself. ayos, di ba? i don't know if i will be allowed to put his name here, initials na lang, E.S. i think overall, smooth naman ang travel]
so there. btw, if u're bringing in some prescriptions, better to support it w/ doc cert & prescriptions. actually, he didn't ask for it naman pero mas panatag ang loob mo if u have.
sa haba ng kuento ko, isa lang. never get urself intimidated as long as u're being honest & declare what u think u're supposed to. :D/
