What are my options after I finish my studies in Australia?

@abbygailmbn i suggest diploma in leadership and management course pang extend lang ng stay but still with work rights. if matapos mo yan together with conversion, then you can claim extra 5 points for 2 years aus study. di madali and post grad studies (masteral) dito and very expensive, unless di problem ang pera

Also, 60 points ang required for the PR but, given na limited lang invitation per round and backlogs, nsa 70-75 points ang ininvite for 189.

Hi po. can anyone help me with my question?

I am currently applying sa uni sa brisbane. complete na po reqs ko. Ang choice ko is Masters of Professional Accounting, which is 2 years. Yung response nila, I should take Masters of Accounting lang daw. 1.5 years lang. Dinecline nila ung MPA application ko. I think it's because meron na akong accounting background.

Ang problem ko, if nag 1.5 years ako, di ako eligible sa graduate visa. kasi required 2 years of educ.

Ang question ko po, pwede po kaya ako mag graduate diploma in accounting for 1 year, tapos mag proceed ako ng masters in accounting ng 1.5 years? Para lang ma fulfill ko ung 2 years requirement for grad visa? 🙁 Or any advise po aside sa PR option?

***Ung PR option, medyo di pa applicable sakin knowing the competitiveness sa score ceiling. Kaya option ko is to study po talaga and gusto ko matapos yung CPA AU Program.

@Donnajanice how about doing a dual masters program so you can have that 2 years that you are aiming for? then study na lang on your own for the CPA program.

@Donnajanice what do you mean hindi aligned sa CPA program? i mean dual course MBA/MA na program if ever na offered sa uni na gusto mo.

this I am not sure kung may packaged program sila sa uni mo. hindi ba macredit iyong ibang subjects ng graduate diploma mo towards sa master of accounting? if yes, mababawasan din iyong duration mo.

Noted po. Hind aligned meaning po ung subjs sa uni hindi same sa subjs ng cpa program. walang dual course sa uni na gusto ko. pero will check with others.

Paano po ba bilang ng 92 weeks? What if nag 2 course ako? Isang cert/diploma sa finance (1 year) and isang masters sa accounting (1.15)? Assuming na wala silang icredit sakin na old subjects.

@Donnajanice check mo sa cricos kung ano iyong course na kukunin. Dun mo makikita yiong official na duration ng mga courses na kukunin mo.

@agentKams i am planning to change degree. Pero with same uni and same level (Masters degree). Do I have to apply for a new visa? My current visa will expire on March 2020. Pero if magshift ako, none of my subjects will be credited. So most probably mga 2021 pa ako makakatapos.

be careful on your plan lalo na walang ma-credit na subjects. may Indian national na nagshift ng shift ng course para makapag stay sa AU at makapag work (limited hours), end up nahuli. the news was just last month o early this month.

@reesh nope you don't need new visa, you will just need to apply a new visa if maexpire na iyong current visa mo and your program is not finished. Just get a new COE and extend your OSHC. That's what i did nung ngchange ako to dual masters program.

@patotoy as long as same AQF level ok lang po magshift, ang mejo risky is iyong magdowngrade ka from Master to diploma/certificate. maraming Indian ganyan ginagawa para makatipid na din sa school fees.

@agentKams Thank you! Currently on assessment pa ang application ko sa uni. Sorry if makulit po ako ha, but if I get approved next sem enroll na po ako sa Master of Social Work with my current student visa pa tapos pede sa end of 2019 pa po ako mag apply ng new visa? Or mas okay na mag apply na agad kami ng new visa ngayon pa lang po?

@reesh apply kayo at least 2 months before expiry ng visa. Kami expiry 31 dec, nagapply kami first week november then visa grant 4 jan the following year. may BVA naman na issue sa inyo dahil onshore kayo so no problem.

@agentKams BVA po ba is the bridging? When po inissue si BVA?

@reesh yup bridging visa. after niyo malodge iyong application niyo automatic may BVA na iemail sa inyo. it will only take effect after maexpire ang current visa niyo.
