Hello! I just got invited sa SA, 489 stream. Sa mga na-grant na ng visa, gano katagal kayo inabot?

hi @agd, not to discourage you but if you have 60 or 65 points and aiming to get an invite for 189 with an ICT nominated occupation, you may not get an invite coz there are so many applicants in ICT field with high points like 75, 80 or even higher.

Also note that, competition for SS in popular states like NSW and VIC are so high especially for ICT professions. But then again, its up to you which path you want to take.

@Au_Vic Thanks! Ang bilis nga nila mag invite 6 days lang yung sakin. Iniisip ko kung mag lodge na ba kami ng visa application or hintayin kung maiinvite kami sa VIC. Ang tagaaaal kasi. 75 points ako doon sc 190. Pero the way things are going, parang mas okay na mag 489 na nga lang.

ask ko lng po coz one of my requirement(secondary applicant as spouse) according to our agent is a letter from Institution(school) to indicate that the course has been conducted in english. does anyone here has submitted that kind of document? and with regard sa transcript, the copy that I have right now is from way back in 2001 and yung registrar na naka pirma dun is patay na. ok lng kaya yun? and need ipa ctc? 🙂

@dutchmilk Gusto nyo lang po ba na ma-prove na may functional english kayo? there are other ways na i-prove mo na may functional english ka...kung dpendent ka at ndi naman nag-claim ang husband mo ng points sa iyo pde yung pte with an overall score of 30. sa ielts ay equivalent sa 4.5

@dutchmilk opo. mag take po kayo ng ielts or pte...but i would suggest po na pte na lng. ganyan din po ginawa ng wife ko.

kulang po yung information na binibigay sa inyo ng agent nyo.

@dutchmilk Couple kami. May 190 application ka ba sa ibang state? Magla-lodge ka na ng visa application?

@lccnsrsnn last march we lodged an eoi for visa 190 (NSW) but wala eh. 65pts(with ss pts) lng kc c hubby and naka pro rata yung nominated occupation nya so our agent suggested na mag 489 (SA) kami and yun nga we just received the ITA ganiha. yup! go for the gold nato. 🙂

@dutchmilk Kung hindi ako nagkakamali tawag dyan ay subject/course description it should be available in every college/university Registrar's Office. It will state there that the particular subject has been taught in English. Hope that helps.

@dutchmilk Kami naman nung July lang nag-apply pero Victoria lang kasi doon lang open and occupation ko tsaka ito nga sa SA na 489. ICT ako. Problema sa VIC they won't tell you kahit rejected eh so I might be waiting for nothing for all I know. Baka mag lodge na din ako ng visa application sa SA. Importante naman makarating doon. Gano lang ba yung two years para sa PR hehe!
