@lizzie86 This is how I understand it and I'm not sure if this is what you mean.. If were talking about registered nurses, we are usually graded year 1 to 8 (or 10 ata, not sure ilan yung max).. This is based on your experience. Experience which either the employer (if through TSS) or ANMAC (if through PR) evaluates if it's on par with the AU standards (ofcors this will also include if your past experiences with any organizations includes continuing education/programs...depende din kasi sa hospital/country..alam ko may required din hours per yr na dapat ispend for cont learning eh).. This will then determine your salary or paygrade.. For example, I know someone in Melb who has over 8 yrs RN experience in Singapore who just got offered a contract with year 8 salary as an entry RN. This is also through TSS VISA.. This doesn't increase when you do conversion or any courses after BP.. Unless if you are studying those special upgrades or nurse clinicians and hired as one then it's a different story.
Once nakapasok kana as RN, regardless of your paygrade, dyan kana mag work to level up to anything you want like Nurse Clinicians or Unit managers, educators...daming pathways..
Hope this helps. Anyone who has a better understanding of the whole Nursing Career in AU, kindly enlighten us din po đŸ™‚
