Depende sa validity ng visa. If on one year multiple entry visitor visa, normally max of 3 months stay per visit. After 3 months exit ka pero pwede pang bumalik. If on student visa then exit before end of validity.

Try to find prospective employers while doing your BP. Some hospitals may offer employment pero normally temp visa (TSS 482) muna. But if you have enough points, apply for a visa under general skilled migration (189/190/491)

Thank you sa inputs @cucci . Single entry lang po inapply ko for 3mos to do bridging. After po nun and in case wala pa po ako employer, pede nman po ba mag-apply uli panibagong visitor's visa? D po ba mahihirapan kumuha non kasi wala ako kamaganak?

@k0walski Yes, pwede naman ulit mag apply ng new visitor visa. As to kung ma-approve or deny, depende sa assessment ng case officer based on your circumstances.

Hello po. Asking for a friend po. What if yung skill assessment po nya is Registered Nurse Nec and may possible employer po sya na sponsoran sya ng visa 494 pero po ang nominated occupation ay Registered Nurse Aged care. Magagrant po ba yun visa or magkakaproblem sya. Thanks po in advance

@cucci ask ko lang. I’m a nursing graduate but not registered and no experience in clinical setting. Im planning to study nursing in AU and i just want to ask if do you have any idea if they will ask me to study for 3yrs or just 2yrs?

Sorry, no idea po. I suggest you contact a uni or engage the assistance of agents like IDP. Afaik, wala naman silang fees at since they are mostly university agents, they would know more about your case. If you intend to be PR afterwards, just be firm that you want a nursing conversion course... may iba kasi kung ano-anong certificate courses ang ino-offer na wala namang direct bearing.

Hello, quick questions for australian nurses:

in OBA's orientation stage:

Stage three is provided by the IQNM’s employer, based on NMBA guidelines. Yung employer mentioned ba is pwedeng Overseas employer? Example: St. Lukes Hospital.

Yung NMBA guidelines ba minimum 450 hrs. lang ang requirement? Meaning if one passed the PRC nursing board and nakapag work na sya ng 3 months (450 hrs) sa pinas pwede na syang mag-proceed ng NMBA/APHRA application?

Nope, I don't think this will be allowed. The very reason for the then Bridging Program and now OBA is to orient IQNMs toward Australian health care setting.

Yes, 450 hours of practice within the last 5 years is one of the basic requirements for AHPRA/NMBA assessment.

Same docs.... but COGS, COE and Professional References may need to be the latest.

I am a nursing graduate in Philippines and I am planning to study nursing in Au this year but I dont have any idea where should I start and what are the documents that I need to gather.

Hi there,

Start with passing the English test first (I personally did PTE Academic). Usual documents needed are your TOR, diploma, course syllabus, summary of RLE; and if registered your nursing license, certificate of registration etc. Choose a university, submit your documents, wait for their assessment, receive your letter of offer and meet the conditions stipulated, pay the tuition and other fees, receive your confirmation of enrolment, then apply for student visa. 🙂

Thank you for the infos 🙂 clarify ko lang, is this course only for registered nurses or I can still take this even if I am not RN? I have asked some unis and I got a reply this morning from one of them saying this course is only for registered nurses 🙁 So now I am losing hope, I guess I need to study again for another 3 years in Australia to be able to be registered in APHRA. I am also thinking about taking the exam in Philippines and get the license and after that I will get an experience for 3-5 months. I think it will be easier and cheaper rather than to study for Bachelor in Nursing in Oz for 3years 🙁 What would you advise?

@unicayen Di hamak na mas mura sa Pinas... kung graduate ka pero di nakapag-board, I think kailangan lang ng refresher course sa ilang subjects at additional clinical hours to take the board exam.

True... So ngayon, iniisip ko magreview nalang ako sa pinas tpos magtake ng board exam, kapag pagpalain at pumasa ako ng board exam, kuha muna ako ng experience. Currently I am in UAE pero I am working in hospitality. Pwede naman ako bumalik dito at dito kumuha ng experience. After that apply sa AHPRA for BP or OBA. Do you think mas OK kung ganyan nalang gawin ko?

Yes it is, and very costly pa to be honest, a semester can cost you around 15-18k AUD depending on the university tapos the tuition fee increases pa each year roughly around 2.5%. Don't lose hope, anything can be done if you will it with God's help. Are you willing to leave your job abroad and start all over? If yes, then my advice is to follow your plans that you have mentioned above. Like you, I basically started from scratch din after working abroad, once you take this path, don't look back just press forward. All the best to you! 🙂
