Hi Guys!
My family will be travelling to Manila on the 2nd of June.
It is the first time that my 1 year old son will get to ride on an airplane. So we are very excited about that.
What I did not realise is that I don't have a full understanding of how he can enter/exit AU/PH as he holds both AU & PH Passport.
After reading about it in general, this is the guide I have come up with. However, knowing how we deal with our local Immigration officers back home, I'm not too confident that the last part of my guide is correct if I follow the tips I've read online.
=Depart Sydney=
Airline/Check in - PH Passport
Immigration - AU Passport
=Arrive Manila=
Immigration - PH Passport
=Depart PH=
Airline/Check in - AU Passport
Immigration - ?? (guide says that it should be the passport that allowed you to stay in the country that you are leaving from. But I am more inclined to tag this as the AU passport to avoid unnecessary visa questions from the Immigration officers. Technically, dapat wala silang pakialam whether you have a visa going to your destination country as that will be dealt with by the immigration officers when you arrive. Pero knowing how our Immigration officers can sometimes put you on the backfoot out of the blue, would it be safer to present my son's AU passport instead?)
=Arrive Sydney=
Immigration - AU Passport
Hoping experienced travellers can give advise here.
Thanks!
