Architect - Applying as Architectural Draftsperson

Hi guys bago po ako dito....planning plang ako magpa Vetassess under Architectural Draftsperson din and planning to send EOI after ng assessment at the same time ngcocompute ako ng points ko.

Question ko po, once n nkapagsubmit n ng EOI pwede p bang iupdate un points?

for exmaple ngtake uli ako ng Ielts for the second time pra mkakuha ng mtaas pwede bang iupdate ung points?

Salamat sir, cge check pa ako ng iba pang linya na mas malapit sa experience ko. Nga pla sir another question, pede ko bang inde na isama ang ibang past work experiences ko kase inde na rin ako makakaproduce ng proof/documents ng mga yun?!.

@Modtaks ano ba ung title mo sa experience mo sa M&E at sa electrical? kasi if Draftsperson lang baka pwede paring Architectural Deaftsperson ang gamitin mo sa VETASSESS. Related naman kasi sa archi ang mga experience mo. Hindi naman siguro strictly lang sa archi ang architectural draftsperson. Actually nasa Interior Design firm ako for more than 5years na at ang pina assess ko is Architectural Draftsperson. Na credit naman ang 5years ko kasi plus experience sa pinas. I hope this helps.

@OZingwithOZomeness, BIM Modeler sir yung title ko sa M&E tas Engineering Assistant naman sa Electrical exp ko. Di ko pa dn halos na browse yung full SOL list pero try ko maghanap ng pinaka malapit, hopefully meron hehe.

@Modtaks ung M&E Draftsperson is visa 187 lang ung pwede kasi wala sa 190 at 189. mas maganda parin ung architectural draftsperson unless mag qualify ka sa electrical enginneering draftsperson pero risky talaga yun. kung ako ikaw archi parin ipapa assess ko kasi licensed ka naman and related naman ang M&E sa architectural field.

Hingi lang sana ako ng advise, here's my situation;

nakareceive po ako ng job offer as a designer in NSW. However, hindi pwede magsponsor ung office so ang sabi kelangan ko magapply ng sarili ko visa via local counterpart- sila lang magprovide ng documents. Im clueless on the next step dahil mukang bagong setup din ung office nila?.Im currently based in Sg- Does it mean kelangan ko dumaan ng agency dito to apply visa? Thank you!

Hi to all. First post ko po and I've been lurking around the net and saw this site to be helpful for pinoy architects applying for draftsperson.

I recently had my application sa VETASSESS dahil kinuha ko yung priority process kaya mabilis. I am applying for VISA 457.

Sadly, nagka NEGATIVE ako sa result ng experience. I've been in the Architectural industry for 10 years na and ang na-assess lang ng VETASSESS is my 2012-2016 work history tapos hindi pa daw tugma sa tasks ng isang Architectural Draftsperson.

here is the result from them saying:

"According to ANZSCO, an Architectural Draftsperson completes

architects' concepts by preparing drawings and plans, and liaising

with builders and contractors. Based on the documents provided, in

the above employment positions you were responsible for developing

planning and designs, and leading the team on all phases of jobs,

which is identified against the role of an Architect rather than a

Draftsperson."

Sa nakikita ko, I specified the roles of Architect instead of being a Draftsperson. Im thinking of applying for re-assessment and give them more info sa tasks ko dati na included naman ang drafting. Do you guys think okay siya? Another route is to completely change application but it will cost a lot. Babaguhin ko nakalagay sa COE, I can easily talk to my boss before and revise it if possible.

I need you guidance here kasi malaki din ang gastos and nakakahiya sa employer na naghihintay sa Sydney.

@phil_chobs sir bakit 457? meron ka na employer from Oz? para sa akin sir safest route would be to submit another application as archi draftsperson, change your COE to suit yun description ni Vetasses/ANZCO. Madami ka sir mababasa sa vetasses na discussion dito, meron isang section dito sa forum all about Vetasses.. if you can fast track the application, ipa fast track mo na para makapag apply ka ng 190 kaagad. NSW,TAS and SA are open, although SA and TAS have some special conditions. i think for TAS its 489 and SA you must have high points (80).

sir, mag re-apply na lang po kayo ulit sa vetassess i-edit po nyo ang "duties and responsibilities" nyo sa CV and COE more on Draftsperson's duty po ang ialagay nyo.

hello sirs. salamat sa mga reply. if safest route is to re-apply, hindi po ba masisilip yan na nagbago ako ng role and responsibolities sa vetassess since andun na sa database nila yung nasubmit ko dating mga docs?

457 visa po route ko kasi may employer na po na naghihintay sa Sydney and they applied my name na for nomination sa visa.

@phil_chobs based sa mga nabasa ko dito sa forum madami na po gumawa ng 2 assessment. wala naman naging problema. meron na dito nagpa assess as building associate and archi draftsperson na parehas positive result. meron din naman negative then nun nag pa assess ulit using a different set of duties sa COE na positive result naman. i think Vetasses is aware naman na our job is not straight forward na isang set of duties lang yun ginagawa natin.

@phil_chobs maybe you can also try to request a re assessment and submit additional docs more suitable sa duties as archi draftsperson. same as what this guy did. what ever path you choose i hope you get a positive feedback.

Thanks @kaidenMVH. I can take either but Im leaning towards the cheaper route since nagbayad na ko ng malaki. Pero, it does not mean I am not open to the re application if masmalaki ang chance niya compared to re-assessment. I just to know what you guys think or which one is the best route for now.

High probablity to get positive approval will be my top priority I guess.

@phil_chobs lol Philip ikaw pala yan hahaha. kumusta! kelan pa pare yun application mo? nag aapply naman kami ng visa 190. waiting ako sa approval ng state sponsorship ng NSW. may pre invitena kami. kapag na approve yun state sponsor, next step is visa lodge na. magkano ba cost ng re assessment ngayon? good luck sa application nyo.

Haha... Bro di ko napansin profile photo mo. So you are applying for PR? Open na ba? Re assessment is 489aud and fast assessment is 1400aud. Kaya mahal if ill make another assessment although I will be able to reimburse one process to my employer.

@phil_chobs sir regarding your assessment, better nga na magpa-reassess ka na lng. Pagnakita kasi nila ung title na "architect/ Designer" sa job title mo sa COE's mo malaki chance na ma-negative ka. ang ginawa ko sa akin dati nung nagpa-assess ako pinabago ko lahat ng COE ko at pinalagay ko title either draftsman/ draftsperson or architectural assistant tapos ung job description kung ano ung nasa ANZSCO un ung nilagay ko pero syempre binago ko ng onti para di obvious.

"Re-assessment" kasi ang gamit na term if na negative ka tapos dadagdagan mo pa ng ibang docs aside dun sa nasubmit dati wc in my case, may term na Architect/Designer na.

Pwedi po ba mag pa assess ang isang fresh graduate ng Architecture as a "Civil Engineering Draftsperson" thru Engineers Australia?

Pag sa Vetassess kasi you need work experience. Sa Engineers Australia, pwedi ka yata mag pa assess ng Education lang. Any thoughts?
