makapagtanong nga po, sino po ang marunong gumamit ng TEKLA software, or REVIT structure? may alam po kasi akong company who just recently sponsored someone from Phl (visa 457) as TEKLA user (structural drafter). i believe they are still in need of people who know how to use these programs, dito po ito sa QLD

hello everyone. i came across this website and thanks sa lahat ng mga inputs. we are also planning to settle to AU. memo at lost pa ako sa 1st step. like u arki din ako here in dubai. been working for around 15 years na as an architect. advise naman re: assessment if i need to have my credentials assessed by AACA or by VETASSES? thanks

If Arch. Draftperson applyan mo sa Vetassess ka apply for assessment, but if Architect, dapat sa AACA..mas madaling makapasok d2 sa Au pag draftsperson unlike pag architect mahirap/ hindi pumapasa sa assessment ng AACA..once u got your PR visa and andito ka na, pede ka naman mag-apply for accreditation sa AACA so u can work as a registered architect..

thanks akino. i was thinking of that fact as well, na baka mahirapan ako sa AACA and beside and mahal ng fee nila, nasa 1050AUD

follow up question lang, if ang ipapaassess kong occupation is draftsperson sa vetasses, ok lang ba na young sa certificate of employment ko and nakasulat sa position ko is architect? di ba magcoconflict? then young isa ko pang employment certificate states that i worked as university lecturer sa college of architecture sa isang school sa phils. macrecredit ba yun as work experience related to draftsperson? thanks ulet.

Im not really sure about that kc nung nagpa-assess me di pa required ang COE sa Vetassess..but one thing im sure is dapat makita dun sa COE mo na your're doing drafting stuffs..I think if u could put architect/draftsperson sa coe mas ok, then i add mo ung resposibilities usually ginagawa ng draftsman..

about dun sa Uni lecturer, mukang di cia pede kc malayo sa ginagawa ng draftsman..

Mind you, wala sa SOL sched 1 ang architectural drafsperson, u need to be sponsored by a state/territory na included ang arki draftsperson sa skill list nila.

oo nga eh, mejo malayo xa. pag di ko kasi sya sinama sa years of experience ko di ko makukuha yung 15pts for 8 years of experience kasi 5 years pa lang ako sa present company ko.

true, nasa SOL sched 2 nag ung architectural draftsperson kaya need ko talaga ung SS. kung architect sana nasa SOL sched 1 xa kaya lang, sabi mo nga walang pumapasa sa AACA.

@jvframos - pag 5 yrs lang ba ang work experience mo, hindi ka pa rin papasa sa passmark na 60pts for EOI Visa 190? so dapat 55pts ka + plus ung SS na 5 pt = 60pts..

or you can opt to apply for Regional Temporary Visa 489.. that is additional 10 pts..

so 50pts ka + 10 pts SS 489 = 60pts..

Hello po, tanong ko lang, meron na ba naka-experience, or may nabalitaan na po ba kayo na nag-apply for assessment as Architectural Draftsman sa Vetassess na hindi pa nagte-take ng board exam? Graduate lang po ng Architecture at my 3 years work experience bilang Draftsman. Ano po kaya ang chances?

hello lock_code2004, kasi i have computed the 55 its based dun sa 8 years of experience, so kung 5 years lang amkukuha which is 10points, id only be 50 pts + the 5 its under SS, so kulang talaga ako ng pts unless makakuha ako ng mataas sa ielts which is nearly impossible. mababa na kasi nakuha kong points sa age kasi nasa 40y/o na ko. kaya nag we need to do this fast bago kami abut an ng 44.

ano ba yung difference ng state sponsorship with Regional Temporary Visa 489? will it be easier than SS? sa application ko kasi isasama ko family ko.

Pareho lang po ang application process ng Visa 190 (SS) at Visa 489 (Regional Temp)..

so walang kaso po kung isasama nyo ang family nyo..

ang difference lang po is sa conditions/restrictions ng visa:

Visa 190 (SS) - this is a PR visa, restriction is to stay/work in the state for 2 years.. then pwede na kayo lumipat anywhere in Australia..

Visa 489 - it is Regional (not allowed to live/work in the city or some designated area), and it is Temporary valid for 4 years (this is not a PR visa, so after living for 2 years in the regional area and working for atleast 1 year in the regional area, you will be able to apply for a PR visa).

complete your documents for vetassess immediately... include all your work experience..
based sa result ng IELTS nyo at ng assessment: education (degree/diploma), and work exp (5 or 8 yrs), you will decide which visa type to apply for, depende sa total points nyo..

IELTS is not a requirement for Vetassess assessment.. unlike other assessing authority (CPAA or Engineers Australia)..

kaya nga po para sa mga occupation under Vetassess.. they submit all the required docs for assessment.. and then while waiting for the result you review/take IELTS.. para just in time sa result pwede na submit ng EOI/SS agad..

please visit the Vetassess website.. nandun po ang mga guidelines/checklist nila..

Educ Qualification - Bachelor's degree Architecture sa Pinas & Master's Degree sa Sg, both may VETASSESS points advisory letter = 15 pts (bachelor's degree comparable to AU degree)
Employment - 3 employment records in Sg from 2006 to present, may VETASSESS points

advisory letter din = 10 pts (overseas employment 5+ yrs)

Australian Study Requirement = 0 pt

hahahhaha actually yung nagpavetasses ako hindi ko na inedit ang resume ko. at lahat ng nasa resume ko e hindi ARchgitectural DRaftsperson. samut sari... Sa awa naman ng dyos pumasa rin. 🙂 ilagay mo nalang siguro yung description ng uni lecturer na nagtuturo ka ng technical?... technical ba tinuturo mo or theory? 🙂

Hi Aiwink, 8 band points? good luck naman saki. hahaha

samut sari nga din nasa CV ko. sa Uni lecturer, nagturo ako both technical and theory peru more on theory. siguro isama ko na lang din bahala na lang sill kung icoconsider nila. may iba pa naman ako work experiences sa pin as kaso malabo ng makahingi ako ng COE kasi yung iba nag close na then ung iba wala na kong contact.

I got positive assessment from Vetassess year 2009, never tried taking board exam in pinas for Arki..I think malaki ung chance mo na magkaroon ng positive assessment kc bachelor degree ka nmn and also you've got years of exp. as draftsman..gudluck!..
