@Graff I checked recently and during Aug-Oct 2017 they sent invitations to 65-pointers, but probably that's because they have a relatively high volume sent during this time (between 1000-1750 invitations per round). The rest of the year 300-700 invitatons lang, so the high pointers are the ones getting the invitations. There's a chance to get invited with 65 points, but it will take a long time to get an invitation.

@athelene sana maganda result ng pte ko sa june para sakto mag 8 years na ko sa july + 2 years sa ibang company... Aug aq mag pa assess sa Vet and sept aq mag lodge...kung walang invite up to feb next year itutuloy ko na ang student pathway...

@Graff Much better na i-retake mo uli ang PTE or try IELTS and aim for proficient para may additional 10 points ka, and at the same time aim as high as you can like superior but in your case proficient is enough kasi 65pts ka na competent english pa lang. mabilis ka mainvite if 75 points ka with SS, i say within 4 weeks ore less invited ka na nun based sa timeline ko. COE ko tig one page lang. Ako rin gumawa lahat tapos pinapirmahan ko na lang sa dating HR namin tapos nakalagay sa papel na may offical letterhead ng company.

Yung sa mga previous employers mo na nagclose na ang company i suggest isama mo parin yang old COE sa pag pa assesss mo and at the same time gawa ka rin ng statutory declaration. Based on my experience nireresearch nila ang website ng mga ito or ginogoogle nila ang name ng company kasi ganyan nangyari sa akin. Nag change ng name ang previous company ko eh hindi mahanap ni vetassess ang website kaya clinarify sa akin through email. Sinagot ko naman na nagchange company name na and nagupload ako ng proof na nagchange name na. ayun na count as skilled experience.

After mo mag pa assess mag lodge ka na agad ng EOI para nakapila na ang EOI mo, malay mo mainvite ka pa while waiting and reviewing sa retake mo PTE or IELTS. kasi once nakuha mo na ang proficient mo sa english exam at wala ka pang invite eh pwede mong iupdate ang EOI mo at i'm sure mas mabilis ka mainvite with 75pts. And sa July ang panibagong fiscal year na naman so uulan ng invites from July to September nyan plus may magbubukas pa na ibang states sa field natin like Canberra. Naku tsak ang OZ dream mo magiging possible na hehe.

@athelene ah kaya pala ma'am, mag aaral ka doon. Ako sa July din ang pag migrate ko sa Sydney, naku baka magkita kita pa tayo doon. hahah

Kahit 3 years eh atleast may 5 points. importante eh pasok sa miminum points na required to be eligible for a PR visa sa OZ. Goodluck po sa inyo.

@Graff Good luck sa PTE! Kayang-kaya mo i-Proficient yan, review review lang talaga at sanayan sa test format. Tama po si @OZingwithOZomeness na i-avoid ang student pathway unless no choice kasi magastos at matagal. Sana makakuha ka kaagad ng ITA once you update your EOI para hindi mo na kailangan magstudent. Isipin mo din po kasi na mas mura ang tuition fees kapag PR ka na as compared to enrolling as International student, so kung pwede hintayin mo nalang na PR ka na bago mag-aral 😃

@Graff it depends on the job title and description/task you have undertaken during your 8-9yrs of experience. Consider @OZingwithOZomeness comment. Just make sure when you lodge your assessment documents everything is consistent so most of experience is credited.

Example: Say Juan claiming for 9yrs exp as a Quantity Surveyor (assume worked up to Jan 2018)

Jan 2016-Jan 2018

Project Quantity Surveyor

Company XXX

Tasks: (management, estimating, cost planning, tendering, etc.)

Jan 2013- Jan 2016

Site Engineer

Company YYY

Tasks: (inspection, estimating, coordination, etc)

If Juan claims 9 yrs exp, experience with Company YYY might not be credited as his title was Site Engineer even though part of his task was estimating. He can however request his previous employer (if possible) to change it from Site Engineer to Estimator or include it like "Site Engineer/Estimator" then make sure his CV would reflect roles of an estimator/qs.

@Graff I also agree with @athelene and take the PTE to get 10-20pts. Most of the people I know who took the test found it easier than IELTS. Try to aim for the highest. Recently, although 60-65 is only required to be able to apply for visa, best chance to get an invitation is with a 70pts and above. So aim for max points and make sure every experience count.

Question po. Yung sa second job ko yung passbook lang ang proof of paid employment ko, but Chinese name ng office/boss ang nagreflect na source ng funds. Kailangan ko pa po ba ipa-translate ito (sa embassy po ba o pwede ipa-translate nlng sa kakilalang Chinese teacher) or gawan ko nalang po ng stat dec to explain na galing sa boss ko yung payment? Yung COE ko from that company may official seal/stamp ng boss ko and ng company so makikita naman na same yung Chinese characters sa COE and passbook.

@athelene need mo ipa translate yung chinese documents mo into english. See attachment para sa guidelines ng pag transalte ng documents mo. Galing ito mismo sa kanila kasi may pina translate rin ako document.

About naman sa evidence of payment ng job mo, basta malinaw na makikita kung kanino yung source of fund, pero parang mahina ata evidence ang passbok. Additional stat dec maybe will help? not sure. pero there’s no harm in trying. Malakas naman na document ang stat dec eh kasi kasumpaan ito. 🙂

@OZingwithOZomeness thank you very much for the advice! Kailangan pa po ba ipa-notarize kung dito ako sa pinas magpapatranslate? Wala kasi inissue na payslip yung dating boss ko, direct deposit sa bangko yung sahod kaya yun lang talaga ang proof of salary ko

@athelene sabi naman nila if outside australia no need to be sa accredited translator. Yung nagpa translate ako hindi ko na pina notarize din, wala naman naging prob. 🙂

@Jacraye salamat ah...Paano po kung ang title ko po ito sa office is Architect. Yung contract ko po is Draftsman/Autocad ang nakalagay from 2010-2016 then pumirma po ako ng new contract from 2016-present Architect naman po ang nakalagay sa job description sa contract, same company po yan.

Yung duties ko po same from 2010-present at nag update lang po sila ng contract dahil sa salary adjustment.

Last time ang position ko po sa COE is Architect/Estimator pero ang duties ko po ay nagcocomply sa Architectural Draftperson. Hindi po ba ako magkakaproblema sa position na nakalagay COE ko kung ang iclaim ko ay Architectural Draftperson?

@Graff no worries. I don't know of any case na ni-require ang employment contract for skills assessment purposes. Usually it's just COE, CV and other personal docs. So, if you are claiming for Arch. Draftperson, your COE/CV should have a title that includes Architect or Draftperson. Pwedeng title mo is Architect lang, pwedeng Architect/Draftsman, pwedeng Architect/Estimator, Architect/TSG, Architect/CAD Operator etc. As long as it is related to the skill. In my opinion, di ka naman magkaka problemw because at the end of the day, they will also look into the tasks/duties/responsibilities you have listed for that certain position.

@Jacraye Salamat sa information. Ang nakalagay sa COE is Architect/Estimator po. Cguro kailangan ko ayusin ang task/duties ko sa detailed COE na pipirmahan ng division manager namin.

Hi! Sino po ang mag BIG move sa NSW this year? Balak nyo po ba doon na maghanap ng work or dito palang dpat meron na work bago pumunta? Ano po mas ok gawin? 🙂

@PinkMagnolia balak ko po atleast 1 month before sa BM is mag start na maghanap ng work through job portals at indicate ko na rin sa CV ko or sa cover letter ko ang arrival date ko sa OZ, then indicate ko rin na open ako to skype interview, para atleast alam ng HR or recruiter when ako physically available na andoon for the interview and at the same time alam nila na willing ako to do skype interview.

I have friends na na hire while nasa pinas kasi they were interviewed through skype, so pagdating nila doon may work na sila na nagaantay. Mas maganda na may headstart kesa pagdating pa lang doon saka pa lang maghanap ng work.
