@jmm, hindi po ako sir... girl po ako.
Architect po ang position ko ditto sa office in Dubai. When I did the skills assessment, I opted to be assessed as architectural draftsman for the very reason na mas madaling makakuha ng positive skills assessment sa vetassess compared to architects Australia dahil architecture in the Phils is not equivalent to architecture in Australia.
And for your question, it doesn't matter if you have your skills assessed as an architectural draftsman or civil draftsman. What's important is you have the documents to prove your skills and experience. I cannot na mas magiging malaki ang advantage mo if you have your skills assessed as civil draftsman kasi ang question lang naman dun is enough ba yung years of experience mo to qualify you to get points. I suggest, kung san ka mas may matagal na experience, yun ang ipaaassess mo. At the end of the day, what will matter most is yung points na makukuha mo. We can be assessed for whatever skills we have for that matter as long as we can produce all the documents necessary to get positive results.
Bottom line is, pagdating mo ng Australia, you can do all sorts of work, may it be architectural works, C&S, mechanical, etc. We are flexible that we can learn anything... it depends na lang sayo how you cope with the change. So I suggest, kung alin yung sa tingin mo mas mataas na points ang makukuha mo then go for it. Worry about the job in Australia later.... taget mo at this point in time is to get the positive outcome. But one thing more, civil draftsman do not require state sponsorship whereas architectural draftsman do. so kung willing kang mag undergo ng state sponsorship for additional points, choose arki, kung di naman, choose civil. Yun lang po.....
