hi, nakapag submit na po kame ng husband ko ng EOI sa VIC and NSW, unfortunately, proficient lang po ang exam namin sa PTE, so finding ways to maximize points. I have few questions po
- right now, we both have 80 points. we submitted EOI, ano po yung state nomination? pano po nakakakuha ng points dun?
- Nag submit po kme ng EOI sa VIC and NSW for 190, but not sure kung dapat po ba separate EOI yung different state or ok na ung magkasama sila?
- may chance po kaya mainvite kahit 80 points lang? or usually po gano po katagal bago makareceive ng Invite? plan po kasi namin, mag set kame ng timeline, na if wala kme nareceive na Invite, mag reretake po ako ng PTE to get superior.
My husband and I are are both in the same field which is Architect. and we both applied for Architectural draftsperson, nagpaassess din po kmeng dalawa sa vetassess and both got proficient score.
thanks po sa reply.
hello, to answer your questions:
Regarding the state nomination, it will automatically count once you submit your EOI. For example, your total points is 75, plus 5 will then be added for state nomination which will give you a total of 80 points. you can see the breakdown of points on the points calculation letter that Skillselect will send to you upon submitting your EOI.
For EOIs, one of NSW's requirements is ticking New South Wales ONLY when submitting an EOI. If I an not mistaken, it's the same with Victoria. Back in the day, you can tick multiple states in one EOI. As of the moment, states want to see that you are really invested in living a life in their state and for that reason, you should tick just one state. But if you want more chances, you can create separate EOIs for other states that you are interested in.
As for the points, I am proof that you can be invited with lower points. At first I was already hopeless and was also asking around this forum if my points were enough to get an invite. I lost hope when I was deducted points due to an age milestone so I had to work on my English exam to get a Superior result. Once I accomplished that, I resubmitted my EOI. And to my surprise, I was invited with just 75 points just a few days later after resubmitting my EOI.
Also, I read somewhere here in the forum that for Visa 190, it is not about the points. The state nominates you when they are in need of your skill. But it may somehow help if you have higher points.
For the invite timeline, the fiscal year will be over by this May. I am not sure if they have reached their quota. But as long as you've already submitted your EOI, you still have a chance.
You may check my timeline for further info. I hope this helps. Good luck. π
