Hi!!! I know it was asked Nth million times, just want to clarify about our situation. kasi my wife has a relative in other state (NSW) and we where offered to stay there for a while for free and work there. And I'm just wondering if we can make entry on their State since we are granted visa 190 in SA? pero kasi ako I really wanted to go straight to Adelaide as a "moral obligation" to the State, future plans din like what if we wanted to take up citizenship, I dont know if it will affect for future applications? sorry super dumb na at nagprepare na din for the big move. thanks!

@merickboy - technically/legally fine. there are a lot of topics in different forums na pinagusapan ito... ang ending e, pwede... most of the comments will say magpaalam ka dun sa sponsoring state, merong iiba na di na kailangan kasi di sya binding / obligation unlike subclass489....

but kung mangyayari man sa akin ito personally, I would recommend to try your best to stay in the sponsoring state, kung talagang di umubra --- talk to them, be honest, discuss your options...

SA is a much better state than NSW, for me. Maybe not for the jobs being offered there but it is the preferred place (aside from Melbourne). Try SA first and see what happens, God probably preparing a better home for you there... 🙂 Kitakits.

@rareking thanks mate! actually pareho kayo ng agent ko ng sinabi. He said there should be no issues. eto nga ang dilemma namin ngayon. Kasi we planned it for so long about adelaide, we did some research, housing, jobs, budget namin. then after her relatives openly said they can help us. we can have free accommodation, help us to find job and suddenly parang another plan nanaman nito. pero I told my wife i really want to start a new life down under kahit na walang support from others since ayaw ko din kasi na magkaroon ng utang na loob hehe, though i am grateful na willing sila tumulong. thanks for your opinion mate. you have good points! god bless! see you there!

June pa kaming pamilya... curious lang ako kung ano plano nyo the initial days of arrival... hotel / hostel? It might be our plan too.... so you can check the actual rental place first before you commit....
another question is --- saang place ba dapat na maghotel/hostel.. dapat kailangang nasa CBD talaga?

hi all, i am planning to move to Adelaide by April / MArch 2015 with my friend, mauna muna kami before namin dalhin ang ibang family members to check the place. any help from you guys regarding a place to stay for short term lease at least a 2BR apartment? how much kaya ang rent? any advice initial money to bring to settle in SA?

@kiremedio check out airbnb. Same situation with me and my friend and I found that airbnb was the most value for money. I was able to book a 2br place for the same price as one hotel room. And per person, still cheaper even, than if we go to a hostel.

not in adelaide. Canberra. Just thought I'd mention airbnb because when I did comparison, it was cheaper.

@bookworm kahit adelaide, mukhang okay nga itong airbnb na ito compared to agoda, expedia at yung mga nacheck ko ng local australian hotel siites a.. thanks for sharing.. will continue to explore pero definitely will look into this airbnb further...

yup, especially kung friends kayo at 2 bedroom ang kailangan hehe. kung 2 kasi kayo share ng bayad, paying the per person fee of hostels is almost the same amount as an airbnb place. Pero baka sinuwete lang ako at nakakita ako ng 2 bedroom place.

@bookworm Hi there, planning to move as well in May 1st week sa SA frm sg. ung airbnb ba is hostel or bahay tlg for rent? Nabasa ko kasi sa ibang forum d2, mahirap mgmove in pg family w/ 2yo daughter sa room lng. Initially sna room muna hanapin nmen ksi jobless pa, pede ba gnun? Kung hindi pede, ung buong bahay, nakaclosw ba ng contract ng 1yr rent kahit wla pa work? salamat sa inputs mga kababayan..

Hello po, any inputs po kung pano mkahanap ng room for my family (couple + 2yo daughter) or an apartment studio type to rent khit hindi maganda, bsta decent nmn ung bahay preferably CBD or malapit sa CBD. Sa May pa nmn po plan pero as early as now search na ng maaga. Salamat po sa suggestions at recommendations..
