Hi there, I think the definition of malungkot varies per person..
The more people you know, the more friends you meet, the more activity to do on your spare time, the lesser "lungkot". Every fridays or weekends nagkikita kame ng friends ko here (most are from Pinoy au). Hey maybe you can ask your IT friends to meet me & my friends din for sure hinde na sila malulungkot hehehe (most of my friends are in IT field din). I prefer to use the word laid-back and relax rather than boring. 😛
Yes its true 5.4% unemployment rate here sa adelaide, but based on someone who works in SA govt, We Pinoys has a high employment % compare to other migrants. And yes quiet time and last quarter of the year especially Nov and Dec. But having said that, we are Pinoys, we are very skilled and highly competitive. 🙂
