sinabihan kasi ako ng employer ko nung nagresign ako a month ago na they will declare me as "leaving singapore permanently" sa IRAS for tax purposes. i didn't know what that meant previously. yesterday, nakatanggap ako ng letter from IRAS and part of the letter eto nakalagay:

You are required to settle your tax matters before you leave Singapore or at the time you leave your job, whichever is earlier. Any instalment arrangement will be cancelled.
We have instructed your employer to pay $X to us and to release the balance of money withheld, if any, to you.

so i talked to our HR manager and she said i will be getting my last pay on my last day at naka-deduct na yung remaining taxes to be paid ko (remaining giro instalments for the 2011 tax + whole tax for 2012). nag-check din ako ng records ko online sa IRAS and canceled na ang GIRO ko.

I didn't get any letter from IRAS... Ahahaha, sabi kasi ng company ko, 6 wks after my last day ang TAT nila before matapos lahat.
Just goes to show that even if you are one of the biggest bank in UK, it does not follow that they can be very efficient with their operations...
Lolz! π
