@akoaypinoy not sure po sa ganyan kasi risk din if iopen mo..may iba na inopen nla pero depende na yan sa COs. Iba kasi ang Japan PCs coz only the requesting org should open the clearance. May friend ako na applying Canadian visa at Japan resident before, they send the sealed envelope to Canada embassy talaga at hindi na nila nakita ang content. Since online submission sa AU, we can see it but probably after CO's advice.

Regarding po sa Japanese police check, marami na po akong nabasa from other forums that applicants opened the envelope right away, scanned and uploaded it without asking permission. Then, they got their DG.

As far as I've researched, you can provide them with completed visa application form showing the need for police check. If not japan-based anymore, you need to visit the consulate and do the same. Basta provide mo din yung Japan residence card and passport mo.

Ito po yung nabasa ko from Japanese Consulate Sydney. I think same lang din sa ibang state.

@lottysatty The document does not necessarily mean to be the 'request letter' from the CO. It's up to you po if you won't take the courage to try and want to wait for a CO contact.

@maiii actually, i just called the embassy here in Cebu. What they need aside from the passport is a checklist or guideline from the AU website needing the document. I will take this oppty para makuha namin while wala pang invitation. thanks po for the realization.

@jacjacjac yes po. we have to request it from Japan embassy then requires fingerprinting. After, we will wait around 2 to 3 months before releasing.

Yes that's correct. I went to Japan Embassy in Manila present my Passport. With the fingerprint card from Jp embassy, I went to Camp Crame, paid P220, had it fingerprinted. Brought it back to Jp embassy, receipt was given, wait for 60 days. JPCC is for free by the way.
